I'm getting ready to host an AFF first jump course and want a good aid for showing some in air freefall and canopy mals. Has anyone used the First Jump Course DVD from paragear to know if it is well produced / useful? If it isnt and you have a better one let me know. Thanks.

The 15mm fisheye is amazing and comes with built in hood making for some really nice crystal clear images even when looking at the sun

I used to use a opne piece booty camera suit and I liked it a lot then I got my firefly two piece suit with c wings and I love it. I still get plenty of drive power and slide power from the free fly pants and the c wings offer great versatility since they are kind of small in the belly down possition but when back or sit flying they have much more drag. As for one vs two piece I agree that the two piece is awsome for me since I go back and forth between tandems aff and video through out the day and it is much better than taken off the whole suit. Also my wings are sewn down so I never have to worry about connecting shit which is nice. Good luck with your decision

It is all personal preference. The way I did it was all based on what I saw at my home DZ ask if you can try on some of the video set ups that are being used at your dropzone. Really it comes down to what features you want so go out and try to look at as many different styles as possible. Everyone's head is a bit different so try a bunch on and see which style fits you the best. As for the rest of the stuff I prefer light weight stuff and when I first started jumping video I was on a Sabre 1, so my dumbass was getting spanked way too much, so when I was buying everything I always went straight to the weight. Good luck

Does anyone know what it is called or how to take sequence shots where the background stays the same and the person or thing moves through the picture such as a swooper moving through the whole frame or the base photo attached Thanks Mike

Now I know there are some precision haters out there and Ill agree there are some downsides to the Xaos line that may be better in some other high performace 7 cells, but if we could leave those aside for this it would be greatly appreciated. My question is, is there anyone out there doing a cascaded 350 HMA lineset for the Xaos canopies? If so do you think there would really be that much difference in the performace of the canopy since the current lineset, though small, is none cascaded? I know the obvious that there will be less drag most definately but what about dive performance? Thanks

There is a bunch of us that work there that should be able to do some of that with yeah...I dont think we'll be too busy

Plus dont forget the fact that instead of only being able to take 24 shots with film, you can take as many as your card would hold. 1G is probably the most cost effective and you will be able to take plenty of shots during the recreationaly uses aswell.

I feel that the students ive worked with in the tandem progression are much more confident getting ready for the skydive, which in the instances I have worked with them has been a bad thing, especially for the first aff dive which is single instructor, your first time in the door on your own, first time with a rig on, first release time, and first time using a boc. I would say if you are trying to become a skydiver, why not just start with the rig on your back not someone elses. The tandem progression I agree is very useful for some dz's that do not have a full staff and it allows them to get students in the air more often, but I think overall it is much more beneficial to go through a full aff course. Good luck. Blue Skies...

Dont forget vented is different then valved which is what a blackjack is. If you have a vented canopy all you should have is a mesh opening, but with a valve the canopies pressure closes off the vent which allows for a good flare.
