  1. I just remember being told all through school (beginning in the 1960's) that we were lesarning Metric becase the USA was going to switch to it's usage " very soon" I heard it throughout Elementary school, Jr High, High School & college...... Hasn't happened yet. But I think it is easier, and makes more since

    Lee Gerrard

Those posts are all about a Lee Grerrard not Gerrard
  3. We've heard our DZO (more than once) say over the mic...who was it that just gave me the money for their jumps? Usually half the DZ yells out "IT WAS ME!!!"
  4. I can hardly bear to look at old magazines & see Altimasters for $50, Canopies for $125, Containers for $200 and so on.....
  5. Skydive Tallahassee. 6 miles N of I-10 at Quincy Florida.
  6. Ever thought about going to work for the FAA.You could be the poster child or something. No way, when I retire from Uncle Sam's Service next year I'm never working again. On 2nd thought with my measly retirement I will probably have to work to eat. Sorry. I didn't mean to ruffle any feathers. I just remembered reading about this somewhere recently & thought I'd point it out.
  7. Not a good idea. Better check the regs about how far a jump plane may drop from where it took off, I remember seeing a question about this on one of the USPA license tests. I think its 25 miles. This applies in both directions.
  8. Oh yeah as if you have your own Golf Cart... Maybe you can rent one. Just don't "f " it up like somebody did to the other one.......good thing they're electric & not gas.... We all know what happened last time Cindy got ahold of a gas one after 5 hours of drinking tequila...hmmm ?? I think she still has scars on her elbow .... Anyway, we all plan to have a hell of a time at the Halloween Party. All of the DZ regulars will be there plus the FEMA gang of 10-15. And the crew from Sandy Bottoms Bar down by St Marks.... Let the good times ROLL :)
  9. So does Jacksonville have regular operating days & hours or what? Is it open every weekend? I haven't jumped there yet, but really want to try it out. But I don't wnat to get there & have nobody be there.
  10. The keys are so cool, I can't wait to jump there. Is water gear required?
  11. Oh yeah baby....Hell-O-Ween....my favorite. I can't wait to get dressed up. Nobody will know who I am. And FREE registration? Free Food? Free live band ? Free drinks & Jello shots? A free jump on every load? What's next free Tandems I hope the real Wiccans show up again, their daughter is kinda hot. Well actually so is mama
  12. I'm really looking forward to the Boogie. I can't wait for all my friends from the other Georgia & Florida Dz's that I've jumped at to come hang out & have a great time...BTW Dave Coffee..where are you?
