  7. hey everyone... i realize most of you don't know me since i just started jumping last august, but i'm rebecca... and i got my eyebrow pierced two days ago just wanted to share a picture (bad picture but oh well) and see what you all thought of it =)
  8. i've been told many times i look like leelee sobieski (from never been kissed, here on earth, the glass house...)
  9. i don't want to start an argument or whatnot...i came across this and i was just interested in seeing what people think in terms of human beings being natural vegetarians...read this: http://www.alternative-healthzine.com/html/are_we_natural_vegetarians_.html
  10. that is awesome - i have a really hard time buying things for myself, too, so i can relate to that. take care =)

    new pope

yeah i agree. he looks like a frail man with really bad eye makeup.
  14. ooh learn german. i'm austrian and know it fluently and i think it's a great language - yet kind of an angry one =) also have studied french for years and i'm learning italian now - both are great. i had some french tapes once, and they were kind of helpful. however, i think what is very helpful in learning languages is watching movies (with subtitles) in that language and picking things up.
  15. awesome...something i agree with, too! who would have thought...
  16. 6% bitch. "You are not an asshole or a bitch, more like an asshole and bitch target. You have no backbone, and fold at even a slightly insincere look. Stop crying, you wuss." hahaha
  17. Thank you =) I did talk to him, but he doesn't have any 150's to borrow, and probably won't for some time. I will talk to him more about my canopy skills so far, though.
  18. i bought my own gear, including a 135 because that is what i'd eventually like to be jumping...i was just downsizing in between because i obviously didn't want to go from student gear to a 135 =)
  19. haaa...if my mom found mine, i would just be worried that she would take it and add it to hers. sorry that happened to ya, but she seems very cool about it!
  20. i don't understand how you got those numbers or where you are going with this..? sorry =(
  21. hey everyone - i'm not sure if this question is meant to be posted in this forum, but it seemed to be most fitting: i feel ready to downsize to a 150 sq. foot canopy (yes, i realize i only have 36 jumps)...however, i'm light and have felt very comfortable under a 170 sq. foot canopy. i am wondering if anyone who reads this jumps at the ranch or knows anyone who does and who could lend me a 150? i'm not sure how else to go about doing this, since i'm not able to rent a 150 for the day. i e-mailed PD for a demo, and i'm on a waiting list as of now, but i was just curious if i could find anyone to lend me one for a short time, because i'd like to jump as soon as possible =) thank you!
  22. Kristen Davis, from Sex and the City, jumped at The Ranch a few years ago too, apparently. =)
  23. That's not entirely true. Check out these articles: http://biz.yahoo.com/brn/050307/15226_1.html http://www.ifeminists.net/introduction/editorials/2005/0223.html The book being discussed in them is quite interesting. oh, but it is true... http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0763170.html http://www.feminist.org/news/newsbyte/uswirestory.asp?id=8622 http://www.womensmedia.com/new/Lips-Hilary-gender-wage-gap.shtml http://www.infoplease.com/spot/equalpayact1.html http://clinton4.nara.gov/WH/EOP/CEA/html/gendergap.html hope that helps =)
