  1. It is a tax proposed by the FAA with the Major Commercial Airlines being the ones who proposed and drafted the original idea. The Bush admin did appoint he current idiots in the top FAA seats but did not propose the original idea of the tax, just happen to be backing it now. Maybe since they will be looking for jobs in 18 to 24 months they are starting their networking? It is a sad day when the truth is commercialism of one part of our aviation society is jeapodizing the end of another. AOPA and USPA need to work together as one voice, and all the DZO's, Ratings Schools, and any other "voice" that has a little volume need to band together with them to back the defeat the Tax effort. Some of the increases are awful steep and way out of proportion in my opinion. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  2. Maybe this toon is why she is slipping in the CNN and Fox polls. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  3. Tony and Dale when hooked up on the track will finish 1-2 each time. They just have to decide who leads at the final stripe. While I would have preferred the 83 car to win, he unfortunately didn't make the field. Dale Jr. is my net (if my Nascar expertise is as good as my NFL expertise you all pick Tony and you are guaranteed the money.) Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  4. We have "D's" here at Campbell with the old slide and button Staticline Snap hook. But only a rare few, as the 101st comverted over to the new snap hook long after the "D's" arrived. Is the Staticline and D-bag not universal for all the rounds in use? (not including the new set up forthe MC-6 and T-11). Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. 5. In an perfect world this would not be an issue. If you have others to your "front" and you loose sight of them during the barrel roll, now your the hazard. IMO Barrel rolls are freefall maneuvers, not break off and track for separation maneuvers. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  6. Damn Dr. Pepper all over the Army Issue Monitor. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  7. Can I get a little help from billvon maybe? (But I don't think he wears the hat as mentioned), factory diver sure, propeller hat? nah. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!

  9. I believe He is still with the Knights and in training in Florida, I think. The GK web page can get you OPS and they can send a note to him. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  10. I think that is the difference, the net. B's no net C's had a net D's the material is like ZP and has a net MC-6's (SF-10A) are fun for a round. But the Army issue Elliptical or CB is the most fun! Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  11. GQ, Why are we talking to a wall? It is not true as posted and all but 2 will admit it. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  12. I on the other hand, I did not join because I could not find a job. I felt that it was the right thing to do and be ready for a true threat to our nation. And today of the 23 in my unit only 2 will say they did what you claim and 9 joined after 9-11-01. Of the remaining 21 (from the 23, OK?) 19 had a decent job prior to joining, the two officers I dunno. Before some smart ass goes and digs up my older posts remember we have a little bit of change over going on in the Army these days. MB72 asked a valid question, I still say he needs not do any more than he does or has. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  13. Holy Cow that stuff will mess ya up! I will have to drink RedBull out of loyalty to my pall who is the RedBull Toyota Nascar Nextel Cup # 83 driver though. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!

  15. It has been excellent for me. From the first phone call to a custom built (including main Sigma 395) Sigma in 4 weeks. When we sent in the rig for a retro fit skyhook it was a 3 week turn around (we asked it not be back before 4 weeks since it was Christmas and all). 16. The Navy insists. SEALs are super human you know and could stop that tail rotor with a pinky finger
  17. This is the military briefing I use (I have ~1000 Helo jumps) It is a little bit detailed; No none loads till manifested, safety briefed and a gear check is done. Know the release point. Don't approach the A/C till Crew Chief or Pilot signals. Approach A/C from appropriate safe zone (UH series 90 degrees from side, CH series from aft, keep in mind the tail rotor side on the 53) Sit in assigned seat and buckle up. 1000' AGL unbuckle and do an AAD and PIN Check. DISTANCE makes separation, use appropriate separation between groups. The JM in charge of the load, is in charge, take all commands from JM. Emergency exits, clear and deploy immediately, do not delay! The helo could use all the air space below you to land safe and allow you to avoid it! When hanging out side the UH-60 keep hand out of the intake and off the APU. No jumping from the Gunners seats. Open doors in a hover unless it is a tail gate. Min exit ALT 2000' AGL Min Opening ALT 2000' AGL Min Break Off 1500' above highest deploying Parachute. Min Tandem Exit 7500' (Non TI passenger) 5000' TI Passenger. Min CRW Docking 2000' AGl Min CRW Down Plane Break Off 500' Land Standing up, on Target. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  18. I agree, it may be better that way. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  19. Since your already a Patriot why ask? Who cares what some one else thinks, you did your "call to duty" and still do today. There are Patriots on either side of the political fence, as there are non-patriots. There are idiots on either side of the fence too, but as that is not the question, I will only use that small jab for now. Keep being YOU, that is how YOU should be a Patriot. Matt Master Blaster '95 and still blasting. An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!

  23. Bummer, Sorry I missed it. Whe nyou happened to be graduating, I was at Lake Wales for a month making around 400~ jumps. Tough, Tough! work. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
  24. I got my "Black Hat" in '95 and Made my first jump with them in Jan of '96 (Tandem at 14.5K from a C-141, had to look the alt up). Stayed with them till Jan of '99, when a one star pulled me from my Bragg orders to Campbell and on the "Screaming Eagles" I went. Only regret is I was accepted for GK try outs many times and FTCKY always got in the way, Oh, and the GWOT thing too. Matt An Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
