  1. I recently bought a camerahelmet with camera & a Waycool Blue eye 0.45 lens. As I want to start filming my jumps in the future. At home, I started cleaning everything & when I cleaned the lens and looked through/at it, it was clean. But when I tested it on the cam and light shined directly at it, I saw a lot of fibers and dirt appear. I think these fibers are between the lens and the front glass. (Mind you, I don't know anything about lenses) Is it possible to clean that area? And how? I cleaned the glass with a piece off paper as this was recommended by a fellow jumper to get rid of the grease and prevent it from fogging up. 2. If you calculate it like that you are right but what if you have a bunch of friends (2,3 or 4) that have someone or a hired one who is willing to coach them. These friends can share the price and save a few Dinero's they can use when the weather is better in the Blackmountains. Their skill level can increase a lot over winter with a minimum of (financial) input. With 600 divided by 2 jumpers you already have a 20/30 minute balance instead of 40/30 minutes
  3. Sorry for my ignorance but is the difference between Pro and Psyco packing? Greetz Artbel You don't need a parachute to jump but YOU DO if want to do it again.
  4. thanks for your input. It will be taken into account. The thread you added is certainly interesting. I was thinking about changing cam's and maybe I' wil. I f I have the guts to tell my wife You don't need a parachute to jump but YOU DO if want to do it again.
  5. Hi I a have a videocamera for about 3 years now and start skydiving 1,5 years ago. My camera is a Canon MV750i. My question is this: What helmet should fit best with this camera? or should I construct my own mount? Greetz Q You don't need a parachute to jump but YOU DO if want to do it again.

  7. I jump a Merit 190 & load it at about 1.24 It has been bought second hand and the previous owner sold it due to back-problems. My rigger put a Kangaroo-slider on it and I haven't had a hard opening. As for the landing part, I gradually (do I spell this correct?) flare it out and I haven't had to sprint out a landing? 2 or 3 were fast but I would classify those landings as bad judgment. I love this canopy.... Greetz Q You don't need a parachute to jump but YOU DO if want to do it again.
  8. I've made about 20 jumps with our DZ's new NEXT rig (with an Pilot190 main)because I do not have my own rig yet. And allthough I do not have many rigs to compare to, I think of it as a nice and comfortable rig. It's not much but it's my 2Eurocents. It maybe become my first rig. Greetz Q You don't need a parachute to jump but YOU DO if want to do it again.
  9. not quite my first but... After having been inactive for 5 years due to an accident, I took my new first jump ( it was actually nr. 84) and met a round canopy at 10 000ft. This happened due to an opened reserve flap and a JM (who couldn't keep up with me) hitting it with his helmet when he was pulled out of balance because I sped up during testpulls It was a long HELL of a way to get back on the ground after these 5 years. Gut hey, you jump, you live, you jump again. RIGHT? IMO this comes close to having a reserve on the first jump. Hehehe Greetz Q You don't need a parachute to jump but YOU DO if want to do it again.
  10. to would be hard to do. I live in Belgium, Europe. But if you know this man Ralph well, than maybe you could talk to him for me. maybe he's willing to ship an old suit to me because I want to make a new one myself but I do not have a patern. I'm 1m78 (about 5 foot 8 inches, I think that is) and I'm aprox. 205 pounds heavy. thanks Greetz Q You don't need a parachute to jump but YOU DO if want to do it again.
  11. Finally. This is a picture of the jumpsuit. If someone knows where I can find one? I would like one, just to do some funjumps or something. BS to y'all Greet Q You don't need a parachute to jump but YOU DO if want to do it again.
  12. A few years ago I jumped in another DZ (than today that is) & we had a jumpsuit with straight, wide arms and legs. You needed to fix the end of the sleaves on your whrists & ancles with velcro but the end wasn't closed at all. All over the body (chest & upper piece of the legs) were holes with velcropatches covering it. This way you could choose yourself if you wanted the suit to be inflated in some place. It was made out of some sort of heavy material. I jumped it a few times when I started RW. unfortunatly I do not know the manufacturer. As I am searching for it now because I liked the design. Sorry if it is Not that clear. But I will search my attic to find a picture of it . A whole year of BS to you all. Greetz Q You don't need a parachute to jump but YOU DO if want to do it again.
  13. ***There's One on top of Mount Chilliad in the southwest corner of the map. This is not a rig but body armor. This is by far the coolest game there is Blue Skies, TaZmAn You don't need a parachute to jump but YOU DO if want to do it again.
  14. Mine is pointing to my heart. As I thought it would be the most normal thing to do. It's great to see that other people wear it in the same way. "You don't need a parachute to jump but you do if you want to do it again." You don't need a parachute to jump but YOU DO if want to do it again.
  15. Did a search for the proper terms. It were my 2 ACL's. And Medial Meniscus & Collateral on the left knee. But no problems anymore. You don't need a parachute to jump but YOU DO if want to do it again.
  16. I was out of the loop for about a year & a half after a landing that went bad. My front ACL's in both knees were torn off & the 'medial strain & minuscus' (not a good translation, sorry) on my left knee were also injured. Getting back to where I was hurt like hell but I would do it all over again. Nothing beats skydiving!!! Greetz Q "You don't need a parachute to jump but you do need one if you want to do it again." 18. How much rent for a rig at your DZ? $28, that's insane. At our DZ (Moorsele, Belgium) you'd have to pay about $9 extra on your jumpmoney. It's a big difference. Maybe this is a good new thread: "What's the price of a rental rig at your DZ?" oohwell, any thread is good if it is about skydiving. 19. I used to jump at Zoersel until my accident 5 years ago and I have restarted now at Moorsele. It's a lot different than what I was used to but hey.... If I find a plane that will take me up, than I'll come down by myself. Blue skies Greetz Q You don't need a parachute to jump but YOU DO if want to do it again.
  20. Hey guys & dolls, Last weekend I did a AFF-course to start jumping again after 5 years of inactivity. I did a Level 1 jump on sunday. But that didn't went well, it wasn't my fault though. (Had a reserve ride from 10K due to jumpmasters fault) On monday I went back to the DZ and after talking to my jumpmasters, I did a level 3. it was DELUXE!!!! Although I'm a fast faller (the JM had problems keeping up) I did a level 4 in the afternoon and had to do it again. The second was allright apart from falling through a rain cloud. MAN that hurts if you have an open helmet on. So to make it short. I'm back in & I'm here to stay. Greetz Kurt You don't need a parachute to skydive, but it helps if you want to do it again. You don't need a parachute to jump but YOU DO if want to do it again.
  21. As I previously posted, the link should help you out a little.. I can only ad that you should try to get out to the DZ a few weeks before you think you want to jump. In that case you can ask additional questions directly to the instructors (about cost etc.) As for me, I jumped at Zoersel until my accident a few years back. That DZ is now closed.(sadly enough) But i'll probably start again in a few weeks & it will be at Moorsele. So maybe i will see you around. You don't need a parachute to jump but YOU DO if want to do it again.
  22. Stop by a dropzone near you if want more info. Or you can follow this link: [url]http://www.pcv.be/nl/index.htm It is, like said in another reply, a bit expensive but if you are hooked, you'll find the money for it. Blue Skies. Q
  23. First of all a big Welcome to the forums. I've got a question for you. (or some to be exact) Is that you on that pic? And if so, do you not still only have the chute but also the jumpsuit? I've jumped with a suit like that & I'm nuts about it. The only problem is that I don't remember a constructors name or anything like it. So if you can spare that info.... Greetz Q You don't need a parachute to jump out of a plane, but you need one if you want to do it again. You don't need a parachute to jump but YOU DO if want to do it again.
  24. Hi there, Don't know where to post this, so forgive me if it's not the right forum. It's been 5 years (due to accident) since my last jump and I started out with AO in 1999. Our DZ was small & no AFF was given there. I recently talked to a fellow jumper and he suggested I'd start with a Level 4 jump this summer. Could somebody explain the different levels to me, or direct me to some online manual. Thnx & Blue Skies Artbel " You don't need a parachute to jump, but you do if you want to do it again."
