  1. I had my R1 totalled out from under me in 99. I stopped for a red light a guy in a full size pickup came out from behind another car and rear ended me shooting me Superman style into the intersection. I am glad there were plenty of witnesses...

If I go to Dublin, are you going to bring some folks up for Couchfreaks? I promise you won't be disappointed. We usually have 4 Skydive AZ planes and 500 jumpers Wed thru Labor Day - Monday...

  3. I haven't had reason to post for months until I read that. However, coupled with homework and my modest penchant for distraction. I could become a posting fool again...

  4. I don't know about data on this one, but it stands to reason that elastics grab a larger surface area of the line and are a slightly tackier material, so they would cause more wear based on that...

I personally use tube stows for the grommets and small rubber bands for the rest...

I would have to say Jessica Pare in Lost in Delirious or Eva Green in The Dreamers. Quite fetching, super yummy....

  6. Waldo representing everything that was good in skydiving and good in life. He loved the lives of others with the same fierce passion he had for his own. The man had character that knew no strangers. I going to miss him as a Couchfreak and a fellow freak. We would all do well to be a bit more like Waldo...

  16. I have used a soft link on my d-bag for a couple years now. The main reason was to be able to swap it when I demo canopies (I have a pullout) without a tool. Now I can use either since I sewed on a BOC. I got the throwout for:using a packer, or doing a Birdman.

  17. I'll further confirm what Mel says about Joe's Velo as I jumped with him last summer. The 2" inch deeper setting seems to make the canopy "seek" less at the end of the opening and stay true to heading provided you stay neutral in the harness.

  18. I'll say that I have bought 2 protracks, one for me and one for my sister. Both failed in a few months and both were replaced quickly and curtiously from L&B. I lost the replacement to a broken mount on a riser strike, which I grumbled about considerably and L&B replaced it again. L&B has bent over backwards to keep me with a Protrack, so kudos to Mads and company...
