  2. I would have to say Rush's 30th anniversary tour. I had the opportunity to catch it in an amphitheater in Atlanta back in 03 and it was awesome. I have been a fan since '80 and for that band to be that tight after all that time was just amazing...

  8. Hell ya, Steve Harris is one of my biggest influences in bass playing. I used to play tons of Maiden tunes before our band stuck with originals only...

    Of course, the only possible way this could be cool if you don't play anything past Seventh Son of a Seventh Son. They pretty much should have retired or been killed by then...

    How about Silvia? That was the second lamest title defense to his 3rd against Arlovski. I think any UFC with Silvia in a title defense should be discounted $20.00...

  14. If you can't make a post about a fatality without pissing off everyone in the sport mourning a loss, maybe you should find another sport. The guy they were mourning had easily 6 years for each one of your three. I don't fault them for an EFS, it is the least this fellow deserved. If you stick around long enough, you may eventually understand tradition...

  17. I have a 21 cell Xaos 98 and a Velo 96. Hands down, the Xaos is the most comfortable and reliable opener. When I want less stress on the skydive, that's what I hook up. However, the Velo completely smokes it in performance and I am a bit of a performance whore...

  18. I am mourning the death of my favorite resturant after hurricane Katrina. It used to be R&O's right next to the lake in Metarie just bordering the levee for Orleans. I could eat a roast beef poboy and seafood gumbo from there every day of the week...

  21. I use a reserve pillow with a hard insert and a soft loop cutaway and I have "used" them 3 times this year, once under a seriously violent mal.

    The cutaway handle is the only one that can change in pull force with the situation (violent malfunction). So, I wanted optimum leverage with a soft loop. If it ever results in a snag and cutaway in freefall, that's cool I'll use my reserve.

    The reserve pull force will always be the same based on how I packed it (actually lower pull force after the repack settles). So, I am more concerned with perserving my last bullet from a snagged handle. If it gets out and entangles you are probably done for the day or much longer.

    So, in my opinion. The industry standard (metal reserve, pillow cutaway) seems a bit backwards if you consider how each system works and their importance in emergency procedures.

  22. I'll double that! I received my Aff and Strong ratings from Bram a couple months ago. He really did and excellent job of presenting the material and has the best understanding of how the ISP can work to create well rounded students. Very impressive...
