  1. I was referring to really young...pre-teen even.
  2. My only problem is with young kids who are confused and the enabling parents. The kids aren't mature enough to make those kinds of decisions.
  3. I used to think it was a good idea. Now I'm not so sure. We don't seem to be able to get a moral grip on capital punishment. I doubt it would work any better. There is also Hospice which is supposed to give you relief. If the person how wants to die is mentally incapacitated who decides? Family? My family can't agree on what day it is. Or a family member looking to cash in on the inheritance.
  4. Load organizers had me thinking my last name was "Youreinthebase".
  5. Didn't we learn anything at Ruby Ridge or Waco or any number of other times when the government labeled you as a threat? For the record I own 2 pistols. One is a cheap .22 my FIL gave to my wife. The other WWII Lugar my father kept in his bottom drawer with the Penthouse mags. I don't own any rounds for either...doubt they would fire if I did. I've never felt the need to know. Used to be Pro 2nd and I'm still not sure how you move forward at this point. I guess if you want to be a responsible gun owner you're going to have to prove it. That has about as much chance of flying as me going late on a 40 way.
  6. I'm sure it will look something like Medicare for All. More snarky than normal this morning Joe.
  7. Absolutley. It forced half of the change needed to insure there was no way forward but single payer. BTW. I have no doubt that the way we do single payer will be ripe with fraud and corruption.
  8. No. I was not in favor of it then.
  9. How do I feel? Well, I'm familiar with the corporate veil that protects Trump from being personally liable without jumping through a lot more hoops. If it's proven that he was aware or engineered it he should be charged and jailed.
  10. Probably poorly worded. I meant the extreme amount of left v. right in here.
  11. Everyone. It's the only way forward from the current mess.
  12. Not sure. We're doing the same flight on the 27th. I've stated before that I'm in favor of single payer.
  13. I didn't say it was a fantasy. I said it was a viewpoint.
  14. (Long) To dredge up an old thread... I had another heart incident in October. This time 2 hours into a 5 hour flight from CLE to SFO. I won't bore you with the details other than to say my wife says she's seen what I look like dead. United crew was as good as they could possibly be and there was a cardiologist on board. We could have diverted to DEN. I was feeling better at this point and said no. They asked again at LAS. We continued on the SFO. From there to the AR via a meat cart. 8 hours in the ER with nothing to indicate why following extensive testing. The bills are arriving now. Incredibly United paid for my 10 minute ambulance ride to the ER. A bit over $4,000. I think they did this for 2 reasons; reduce the possibility of negative social media and that we didn't have them divert. The rest of it adds up to roughly $37,000. Fortunately it's the end of the year and we only have a couple hundred left on our deductible. The point of the post is to say that I have a difficult time reconciling $5000/hr with the actual care.
  15. I feel the need to balance the extreme left viewpoint here. I was referring to sitting in front of the blue box gobbling up the latest spin from Fox or CNN.
  16. I don't watch MSM. Gave that up years ago. I mostly get information from Google News and here. My news feeds come from various sources. These are my sources... I always find it funny that you guys think the media is only working an agenda on the right.
  17. You missed the point. If one wants to say that pharma is buying off the Rs the list shouldn't include Ds. How about the Biden admin doing something really useful like taking on the lobbyists. I doubt the DNC would take that one lying down.
  18. Where are you getting yours? https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7054854/table/ioi200006t2/?report=objectonly
  19. In sales this is called reduction to the absurd. I'm quite certain if the bill had only called for help controlling prescription drug prices it probably would have had approval. Unfortunately every one of these bills is so laiden with quid pro quo bordering on downright corruption it's difficult to get anything passed.
  20. I am neither ignorant nor programmed. Nice to know you're all concerned though.
  21. My estimate is so low it's not possible to underestimate him. Like most presidents, as soon as he's off the teleprompter you see the real thing.
