Opened my eyes to a new kind of way All the good times that you saved Are you feeling, You feeling that way too Or am I just, Am I just a fool When the summer's gone She'll be there standing by the light Once she's bee to where she's gone to She should know wrong from right A new road's waiting, you touched my life Soft and warm on a summer's night You're the only one, the only one I love The lovely one, I'm thinking of For those old enough to remember here's one.
  3. I already know that SkydivingMovies.com has many videos but here is the situation. I need a couple of small skydiving videos to use in my classroom with my students. Since my students will be using the videos in PowerPoint and C++ projects, I wanted to get a couple of fun videos (socially acceptable) to use with the permission of the original camera man / woman so as not to infringe upon the intelletual property of the owner. This is a school environment and we (the instructors) are trying to teach our students to give proper credit to the authors of video, music, code, etc... and not just steal the material. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  4. There are many agencies, and all have high standards, the biggest difference is in their individual business practices. The real question you should be asking is; "Do I trust this instructor and do I like this instructor's style of teaching the given agencies material. Did the instructor answer all of my pre-class questions to my satisfaction." Be sure to ask a lot of questions. A good reference for possible questions: http://www.newdiver.com/learntodive/ Generally, standard course, two to three weekends, Intensive course, 2-3 days. But a good instructor will state that it should take as long as it takes for you to become comfortable with being underwater with all the gear and the rules. In my 5 yrs of teaching SCUBA, I have never had someone “fail” the course. I have however, had a few students that took longer to find their comfort level. If you are considering SCUBA, the swim portion of the class should not be a problem. You are not trying to qualify for a swim team, it is designed to test your comfort and skills in the water. Most agencies allow you to use multiple swim strokes. It will vary depending on your area. Note that most agencies divide the course up into units: Classroom and Pool Openwaters (Final Test of all skills in a real-world environment) Gear Rental (Normally included in the cost of the Classroom and Pool, but some business/Dive stores do charge extra for gear rental.) The one thing that I have always tried to express to my potential students is when you decided to learn SCUBA, no matter who your instructor is, remember to have fun, be safe, relax, and enjoy the scenery. 5. Luv my G3 Hopefully you will get the same good new that I received. I was originally told 8-10week. Mirage sent it to me in 7 weeks. I was a wonderful surprise!
  6. Have had mine for 1 month. So far have 6 jumps on it.
  7. After many weeks of waiting my new rig has arrived
  8. Thanks for the post. We were talking about proper spotting skills yesterday at "Safety Day" at the DZ.
  9. After spent quite a bit of time talking to both the manufacturers and jumpers that own the actual containers, I chose to go with Mirage. Believe it or not one of my key reasons for going with Mirage was how I was treated when I called them directly. Not only were they willing to spend a considerable amount of time with me, they never put down any of the other manufacturers. Instead, they did direct comparison of components. At the end of the conversation, they reminded me that which ever product I chose, was a great product. (Even the competition!) So far, Mirage has kept me informed (via email) on the progress of my new rig. For me, the extra dollars spent on the Mirage were well worth the price for the customer service that I have received.
  10. Mirage Systems offers a financing program. I ordered a new Mirage, main, reserve and AAD. I got a good discount, and 1 year with no interest to pay off the entire setup. Customer service is great, and they have kept me informed on the progress of my new setup. Give Justin a call.
  11. Send me an email I have one I am not using.
