Congrats SLOWFALLER...I am going to be doing AFF this summer with my wife and we'll probably get our A towards the biginning of next summer. I cannot wait either! We are going to go to Cancun in August 2002 and would love to be able to jump that DZ there. I hear it is awesome!! Blue ones and stay safe

Here is what they do at my DZ. We start directly into AFF (which my wife and I will do in June), but instead of all lecture about canopy control, we are fortunate enough to have ParaSIM VR to practice with. Obviously it isn't the same as being under canopy, but it is very accurate in rate of descent, wind direction/speed being a factor, even different size canopies, and mals. I have had one tandem jump where the instructor didn't really let me do much except for one flare at about 3000' and then a left and right turn at about 2000'. Anyway, I think that this VR is going to be a HUGE help. My wife and I both got to use it this past week and though that it would be tons of help. The airport on the sim is almost identical to the DZ airport. Hey Yooper.....I don't think I'll be jumping this year. By then, I'll probably only have about 8 or 9 jumps by then. Hehe....probably though in the coming years, I'll be doing that. Hey guys...me again. I don't know much about that jump, but the guy that I know who is going to jump it has only 49 jumps last time I heard (last weekend). Derek...I went to a DZ for my first tandem this past Oct and noticed that there were a lot of cliques. I went back a week or so ago just to hangout and watch some loads. Not one person talked to me! As for the girl, you can't trust other people about what they say about someone. Hell, maybe she digs you and those guys know it. They are jeoulous and don't want you to have her! Did I miss something?? I wasn't aware that this was a scientific FACT. I thought it was some theory that only SOME scientists believe and even some scientists do not believe it. I think that people who do horrible things to other people don't deserve to escape their misery and get executed. I think they should spend 60 yrs in a federal "pound-me-in-the-ass" prison, getting gang raped and beat everyday of their life. What is this? Did you just say this?? You must be experiencing random thoughts. If I ignored science than I wouldn't be much for using many things in my life like the jump plane (physics), jet fuel (chemistry), and freefall (more physics). However, if I had wings and could fly, then I wouldn't worry too much about science. I couldn't care less who believes in God and who doesn't. I would love to see everyone from dz.com up there at that "great DZ in the sky" when I die. I think that a daily 4,000-way would be pretty sweet. But hey, I guess that there will be those doing a firey jump down below from 1000 ft w/o a rig.
