    Aircraft

Well, I have 185 jumps and have only managed to jump from a C-182, King Air, Twin Otter & a SkyVan (The RocketVan at Deland, woohooo!) I'm in the Air Force and get so envious of our Pararescue guys who get to jump C-130s, C-17s, and Helos all the time. That's one of the main reasons why I wanted to attend the WFFC this year was to experience some different aircraft. But, didn't make it.
  2. HMmmmm, I know a woman who does AWESOME Swoops and Turf-Surfs...but then she has around 6,300 skydives! But, it's true, you don't see too many ladies swooping, unless it's into a formation in free-fall. To all the potential female canopy swoopers, I say GO FOR IT!...w/ caution.
  3. Yes, Flying is great! Flying your body OR flying airplanes. I have been taking flying lessons for awhile off-n-on, although have basically quit ever since I began flying my body, but I sure do MISS it...especially flying a traffic pattern and setting up for a landing. (So similar to landing a canopy, but a little scarier, haha.) I'd LOVE to take-up Scuba-diving next, but Hell, who's got the money?
  4. And another thing, those stupid "Whuffo" remarks that we all have to deal with...You know the ones: "Why would anyone jump from a perfectly good airplane?" and "Me jump?...No, I'm afraid of heights" ARGgghhhhhhhhh!
  5. I thought this thread was headed into a "Skydivers Match-Making Forum" direction, haha. "SWM, 37, Ga, Altiholic skydiver with my own spacious 2-person tent"
  6. Well, have you seen one, or at least seen them on the website? They are offered in some freaky/funky materials that you just don't see on other rigs...and that cut-in backpad that the Odyssey has is definitely cool. Well, at least in MY opinion.

    Sabre 2

Wow, that sounds awesome. All I know is that I've been on PDs waiting list for the Sabre2 for some time now, and Kolla emailed me yesterday and said the wait wouldn't be much longer. I am on the lists for either a 150 or a 170, whichever is available first. Not too long ago I had demoed a Sabre170 and experienced one of those notorious Sabre "hard-openings"...and Wow did it ever ring my bell, haha. All I've been hearing is that the new Sabre2 won't have any of those inherent problems. (Although, the problem can also be pack-job much of the time). But, I am so excited about jumping this thing. I'm also looking forward to jumping a Cobalt one of these days. "Air-Man"
  8. Hey JT...Ya have to get you a "School of Human Flight" sticker too. I know you haven't jumped there, but I think I have one for ya. Don't forget to show me your new free-fly (RW) suit...ok. "Air-Man"
  9. Well, I haven't jumped it...yet. But, I have seen a few of them at DZs and they look awesome. I'm looking HARD at a new container, and seriously considering the Odyssey.
  10. No, unfortunately JT and I never got to make that 2-way. That's when we were headed-out for the skyvan load, and they called a weather hold...and we called it quits. And now he's headed to Korea, haha, oh well. Yeah, maybe we can do some freak-flying some time. I forget already, but where's your home DZ again? "AirMan"
  11. ...and that's ME, AirMan, behind Lisa on the airplane!!! I just briefly met this crew while at Deland, but they are some good people. Mike, thanks for squeezing me into the frame, whether it was intentional or not, haha.
  12. ...it must be an awesome DZ! What can I say, I attended the AFF Course here about 10 months ago and now have 107 wonderful skydives. I'm proud to call this place my Home Dropzone! It's a smaller DZ, but that's what helps make it a friendlier and more personable DZ. They have good gear and great instructors, and you can always find someone to jump with...no skygods here.
