  1. maybe your cinching your leg straps a little unevenly? i will say that i had an icarus saffire 169 that had a built in turn. i had the lineset replaced and it still had a slight bank while in a full glide. wondering if the DOM's of the ic. saf.'s w/ built in turns are close, if ya know what i mean...
  2. Not sure if this really does much, but i never leave my rig 'stored' with the pilot chute in the pouch....no need to have it in there streching the pouch out when your not even jumping...
  3. hey man, thanks for tryin to help out. the problem is definately w/ my browser. For some reason my ie is super slow now (just entering forums), but my netscape works fine. hmmm. anyways, please disregard the original request. thanks.
  4. for the last few weeks ive been experiencing slow forum navigation, particulary when i attempt to 'enter a forum'. it's about a 10 second delay until the page displays. this started occuring right around the time of the upgrade....around the same time period, i edited my 'display settings', too, so im not sure if i hosed myself. ive tried to reset everything back to the defaults, but no improvement. If im the only user w/ this problem, please reset my display settings to the defaults. thanks for the great hangout. -cliff
  5. @ a 1.66 load on a stiletto 150, mine is extremely sensitive to harness input. as in, one leg hiked up all the way, femur on chest, with the other leg fully extended, toes pointing downward. On a frnt riser approached 180, I'll release the riser 90 degrees through the turn and use the harness to bring me around for the remaining 90 plus steer out of the turn/dive using opposite harness, no toggle or rr's. i think effectiveness of leg positioning is probably a major factor here. have an accomplished swooper check your leg position....and really crankem next time.
  6. ...saw on cnn yesterday that NASCAR is the second most highly viewed sport that his televised in the good ole USofA. I'd fall on my head for you.
  7. speaking of Kevin Gibson: I just took an HP canopy skills class that he taught. I was very pleased with it. Actually he has developed an entire curriculum including an instructional manual for his class. I'd highly recommend it to anybody that is looking to grow their canopy skills. It doesn't matter what your skill level is, he will tailor the curriculum to your needs whether it's hp landings, accuracy, general flight etc. I'm sure any interested parties could contact him via the uspa website. I'd fall on my head for you.
  8. Do you get pushed sideways at the end of a crosswind swoop, when your airspeed is depleting? Is there a good way to counter this? ..... I think maybe it's because I'm popping up with my last bit of lift, maybe i should be trying to put it down with more speed, so im not up there dangling in the wind?.... I'd fall on my head for you.

  11. skybitch says, "Yup. Quoting from the main forum page - "Whether skydiving related or not - this is the place to make idle chit-chat!" Sorry if some of the topics aren't idle enough" maybe that's what a moderator is for? skybitch says, "]Err... no. Don't like what someone is saying? Don't read their posts" find the faulty logic here. Skybitch says, "Out of the six posts you've made on these forums, the majority are basically rude and/or insulting" no, you're wrong. 2 are gear questions. one was a negative gear review (is it ok to be pissed over a 2000 dollar mistake?) one was humorous comments directed at a poster of an idiotic thread that sangiro ended up locking. and the final and only truly rude post i've made was towards a person that i felt was complaining continually becuase 'they didnt think they would be accepted into the skydiving community based on religion' . hey- if somebody is really THAT naive in general (after hanging out at dropzone.com for monthes) maybe they shouldnt be a skydiver.... so in closing, the only thing im sorry about is calling bill a mullet head. i dont like anti american/government themes. that WAS NOT what i expected when i came to the talk back forum to relax, after all it isnt idle chit chat. K? ....and that was the point i was trying to make. now. i am going to make one more rude post to chromeboy, so please standby......
  12. bill, congratulations on successfully aggitating a whole bunch of american folks who were attempting to unwind at their favorite SKYDIVING website. awww heck, this IS the 'skydving talkback' area and anything goes....right skybitch? hey! wanna talk about faggots in the military or just faggots in general. no? Well how bout killing fetus'? that's always a good topic bound to leave everyone with a warm fuzzy feeling..... im sure we can ALL come to an agreement regarding any of these topics, right? get the point? shadup! mullet head.
