In 30 years I’ve spent much of it jumping in different countries – and being a non-military/non-sponsored recreational skydiver, I wonder if there’s some sort of record in the making (the challenge is on!)? fergs fergs, well I've jumped so far in the US and canada - but hopefully can have a list like yours in 10 or 20 years. Wow, it's an impressive list you have. Any one time favourite country? You must have some funny or interseting stories with that many different places in your log book - any to share? Jim

After logon I click manage my ads and another logon screen appears. I reenter my screen name and password and it tell my I need an active account to log on. What happened? candr

I read this every once & awhile. But this last week there are weird black boxes on the screen. see the arrow in this pic. What does this mean??? uh ok this won't take my pic................ oh well that little pic to the right is all black

i registered. It gave me the modify profile or some such thing. then went to forums & it says i'm not logged in. then went to home page. it has a logout link. i logout it shows a login page. i log in, shows me the welcome. i go to forums. it shows that i am not logged in.

After i login successfuly and trying to access the lin Check e-mail or any other link in my profile, I get the login window again. I login again, got now error message, but could not go to any other link. I nees at least check e-mail!!

Im having to login again and again. seems to timeout after only a few minutes, is this something that has changed recently or might it be a setting on my browser ?

Hi! Interesting and helpful advice in the article "Injuries and treatment in the field". However I would like to strongly advise you add a bit more detail on the Tourniquet comment. As you elude to the problem with a tourniquet is blood poisoning in the affected limb. The toxins build up to dangerous levels after 20 - 30 minutes after which time you are correct the tourniquet may not be removed in the field. The tourniquet may be used more effectively as a bleeding control tool, as well as normal bleeding control practices. That is, apply direct and indirect pressure to the wound, then if that is not working use a tourniquet for a short time AS WELL as normal methods. Remove the tourniquet after short times such as 5 or 10 mins. If bleeding still has not stopped you may re-apply and repeat a few times and monitor the situation. This procedure can give the wound a chance to clot and stop bleeding, and give you a chance to get to the hospital in Brazil on the back of a donkey without loosing your limb. BUT if all else fails apply permanently and note time again.

Of course, you all will recall that I was the first to jump BASE with a wingsuit. I jumped from the Castaño de las Hermana el Mar Cantábrico, a tall tree located here in Paraguay. The lemurs were hazardous.

I just tried to post a question and after I logged in, I clicked on the proper forum but when I tried to put the cursor over the "Post new" button, it doesn't turn into a hand so I don't get the appropriate box. Nothng happens when I mouse over the button. Is there anything wrong?
