Yep, 1-800-skyride IS a true scam on the skyding community. We were approached when they first went in the businsess of this scam, and we told them it was a scam and turned them down from the get go. To bad some great DZ's did not shut them down with their initial phone call. Live and learn. We have been around long enough to spot a scam with the first phone call from the 'scammers" Wish all Dz's had done the same. Now they have learned.

Yes, we in Ohio have been shut down for four days on beautiful Saturdays this year. No way around it. You are down until FS says you can go. Go to aopa.org They have a scrolling TFR in red at the top of the screen. Just watch it scroll and then quickly click on your city or area. We agree! Great thread. We do not have a problem at our DZ with this second issue. We have also learned how to handle the second problem. When you buy tickets, we cut off your dick, hand out chastity belts and when you finish skydiving, and leave the DZ we hand you your dick and unlock the belts. :) Skies blue to all Lee
