  1. Presuming heaven exists? Whose heaven? There have been millions of different ideas of heaven, which one are we to presume? The Christian one? There have probably been hundreds of thousands of different ideas of Christian heaven. According to New Testament text, atheists don't get to go to any of them. The only way you get in is if god forgives your sins, the only way he's allowed to do that is if you accept his loophole to not be accountable for your own actions. And according to him, everyone deserves to be tortured forever in some sort of sadistic concentration camp. And apparently being an atheist is the worst sin you can commit, so it's way worse than murder, which is equal to stealing, which is infinitely worse than molesting children, since the bible has no opinion on that.
  2. How did I get from that video to a girl with tourettes? God I love Youtube!
  3. You're going there ON PURPOSE??
  4. One of my instructors said your hard deck is the altitude you plan to pull, and your decision altitude is where you stop trying to fix malfunctions and do your cutaway.
  5. That does sound like a better option... as long as I don't get eaten by an alligator! Glad you suggested it. I might stick around DeLand for a while, if they'll give me a job. If not, I may as well keep moving. I'll probably get bored quickly without Youtube in my life.
  6. Also consider the fact this idea has been executed a bajillion times, the surprise will be dead as soon as anything changes in your routine.
  7. I'm looking to move to DeLand and live in a tent! My home DZ is Jacksonville, but it's rough when I don't have my own transportation, because there's so much walking involved in catching a bus there... I'd be exhausted by the time I get there. Nowhere safe that I'm allowed to camp nearby, and it's just 4 or 5 people jumping out of a Cessna, plus tandems always go first... now add the bullshit weather on top of that. I haven't jumped in over 2 months, which just sucks! No way that's gonna work. I still haven't even finished my AFF! Gonna need more tunnel time as well, so I can get better at docking. DeLand is pretty close to an iFly, people who work there probably skydive at DeLand, bet I can hitch a ride with someone.
  8. That wasn't meant to be a defense of Trump. I voted for Jill Stein, so I'm to the left of democrats. Then I demexited and registered green party, since they are the only party in America that doesn't take bribes. They're still trying to smear Jill Stein as being a Russian puppet and taking votes from Hillary, MSNBC interviewed her recently. She dominated the confrontational interviewer, as always, but the hacky democrats put out articles and such with titles saying she went nuts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYQOQ-yNYc0 They show no signs of stopping this Russia smearing. There are even idiots comparing it to 9/11 and Pearl Harbor attacks. At first they said Podesta's emails were hacked, then when that was proven false, they just moved the goalpost. Now it's twitter bots! Even the neutered cuck Bernie Sanders is pushing this garbage, because he thinks it hurts Trump and others in his administration. The democratic establishment literally rigged the primary against Bernie supporters. I had to give up on anything getting better in the next two decades. All I can do is continue to vote green until they become a viable party. Even the "Justice Democrats" movement are a bunch of passive whiners, and the establishment will continue to neuter and steamroll them. I can no longer vote in the rigged primaries anyway, since the democratic party has closed primaries in my state, and I'm no longer a democrat.
  9. I just assumed this is the result of CNN and MSNBC blaming Russia for Trump. Maybe TYT viewers are more reactionary, but obviously they swallowed the "Putin meddled in our elections" narrative, for which there is no evidence. There were social media trolls of course, who happened to be ethnically Russian... but that isn't the way it's being reported.
  10. I went to a TYT video talking about a Russian disqualified for banned substances in the olympics, a story they misreported overall, but here are some comments from their viewers, which made me sad for the state of neoliberal brainwashing in the US today. The video was posted less than 5 hours ago. Russians are doing absolutely poorly in the medal count. This is Russia in their true form....they absolutely SUCK! Russia being Russia Russians are ALMOST as dumb as right wingers. Russia is so pathetic. The Russians get caught doping EVERY Olympics. They're notorious cheaters. Russians just love cheating lol Guess it's just innate for a Russian to cheat. russians cheat in everything, period !!! This is the type of crap you get from "liberals" now. If Trump said this about Mexicans, they would throw a fit, but since it's "The Russians" it's ok... utterly repulsive.

  12. I wanted to make a thread for styles of music most people have never heard. I listen to tons of different genres, some really amazing stuff that I want others to experience, so here it is. 13. Awesome, man! Very thorough explanation, and I haven't seen anybody use that "reverse s-fold" method on Youtube, I've seen people mention it not being there. I definitely think I can study this to make my pack jobs tidier.
  14. Why not post the video? I tried to visualize everything you wrote, but I didn't understand it all.
  15. "You're sorry as whale shit" My mom is a bad person.
  16. I watched most of the first episode and went on the forum to say "this show is so stupid it hurts" but they convinced me to keep watching, and I started to like it as soon as I continued the episode. Don't judge it by the first 45 mins!! Haha
  17. You have to be 18 to sign the waiver, otherwise it's not legally binding. You could try calling different places and asking, but I highly doubt anyone is gonna take that risk of a lawsuit in this litigious society.
  18. That makes it sound like you're letting go of the s-fold. You should be able to get one corner in, then hold the other corner together with one hand while you get the other grommet under your other knee. Have you tried that, several times? Wow, that looked scary when he started doing those stows. People were probably saying he can't pack for shit, so they disable comments and ratings! I hate that, it's narcissistic. People have to jump with these guys. His method of folding is interesting, but I don't know enough to judge, I need to see the criticisms they blocked. The beauty of Youtube is being able to cut through the bullshit.
  19. I saw that video when I was trying to learn how to pack, and I liked the idea, since I was having trouble with the s-fold... but is it PD approved? Not a chance. It will just get lumped in with the psycho pack method, which I heard was how people packed before the s-fold method, so it's considered outdated. I had to drop the idea, simply because I want a job packing in the future.
  20. I'm gonna assume a pro pack method. Lay on the parachute like normal to get the initial air out, then iron it out with your forearms while tucking the fabric underneath as you go. Do the whole S-fold, get your knees in front of it and lay on it a little with your chest, get a knee on the bag grommet, tuck only the corner into the bag... then get the other grommet under your other knee while holding the s-fold together, get the other corner in. With both knees down on the bag grommets, it will be much easier to push the canopy in while holding the s-fold together. Then turn the bag up and roll the small part of the s-fold in, I do it by grabbing the bag flap and the small s-fold at the same time and kind of pushing them down into the bag, which also gets the grommets closer to the rubber band. If it's too puffy when you go to stretch the bands through the grommets, you can give it a little knee squeeze to get some air out and keep it from inflating. That's what helps me, at least. I have less than 100 pack jobs, but the canopy I practice with is pretty new.
  21. Do it! I'm afraid of heights, part of the reason I decided to go skydiving was so I could push through the discomfort of it and be more confident stepping out of my comfort zone. I was only gonna jump once, but when I realized I was even more scared to do it a second time, I had to do it again! The first time I jumped(tandem, vids posted in introductions), I was calm all the way up, until they swung the door open and the air rushed in. Then I started to freak out! Looking back, that jump is characterized by a bunch of negative emotions. But I would have still told you it was awesome. The second time I jumped, AFF level 1, I was nervous the whole ride up. But once I got into the procedures, it was sort of automatic, and I landed feeling like I could go right back up and jump again, I felt great about it. No way I could've jumped again after my first jump, I crashed out on the couch and couldn't stop my legs from twitching, thought I was gonna vomit, etc. I've still only done 4 jumps in all, due to a lot of bad luck, but I'm definitely a skydiver now, and plan to jump all over the country and make a sustainable lifestyle out of it. By the way, the people I talk to have said that fear doesn't go away until you've done around 200 jumps!!
  22. If you single stow, the lines can come out unevenly, greater chance of entanglements. Double stowing holds the lines together tightly, even as the rubber band stretches, which lets them pop out evenly. I watch PD videos, and they said on all their thousands of tests, double stows have NEVER caused a bag lock!
  23. He's a scumbag for sure, but lots of cool people are scumbags. They shouldn't have railroaded him like that, they didn't even allow him to make a defense in court, so that's a betrayal of our legal system. He said he had nothing to do with the murders, they didn't allow his testimony, that's BS. And a lot of craven liars made a buttload of money selling the story. Not buying it. It's also fun to watch his interviews, he says a lot of stuff that makes sense, while being over the top crazy as hell. He has a lot of insight on the corrupt prison system, he puts things in perspective in terms of the manipulation done by those in power. And I like that he spoke out for animal welfare and environmentalism. He could have been a visionary if he grew up under different circumstances, and now they completely suppressed his message by making him out to be a serial killer. So no, I don't celebrate his death, and the assumption I have is you guys don't know anything about it, and are easy dupes, believing any propaganda the TV feeds you. And on that note, here's some of his music. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oE7RO9ayNjc
  24. I only have 2 AFFs and a tandem, but I voted if you do 100 and quit you're not really a skydiver, I've heard people say around 200 you get used to it, but 100 isn't 200. At least not for them. I think when you no longer have that fear of the jump, at that point you are always a skydiver because it will affect other areas of your life. It's like if you go around making a bunch of prank videos on strangers, eventually you'll be so boss at socializing that you can hit on chicks like it's nothing, cause you're so used to getting negative or positive feedback that you just aren't afraid of dealing with either. That kind of thing.
  25. https://www.payless.com/mens-airwalk-radlee-high-top-sneaker/78676.html The ones I got are the leather ones, third color. They're ideal any time I need to actually do stuff. Skate, skydive, even acceptable as motorcycle boots. They cost me $20 on sale at Payless. Edit: wow, just ordered another 2 pair for $37.48 with promo code. I feel like such a boss.
