  1. You may think high profile cases should not get special treatment but they absolutely should and in most cases do. I’ve been into many prisons and have seen serial killers and high profile rapists that are waiting sentencing, and ones that have already been sentenced. Every time they are on solo watch or at least in a circular room with a guard post in the middle to watch all cells. The sheriffs, wardens, etc have their asses on the line if the victims/public of their crimes do not get to see these criminals serve their time if not for anything but closure.
  2. This was in a federal prison holding a man that was highly connected for a high profile case who had already attempted suicide. One of the two guards did not normally work corrections. The guards falsified records that they checked on him every three hours, and in fact had missed checking on him for 3 hours
  3. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-41488081 handguns 64% rifles 4%. I believe it went back to 1982. I see what you are saying that you have the potential to kill more at one time.
  4. Bernie sanders stated on an interview with JRE that he understands that 99.9% of gun owners are responsible and would never commit a crime of murder with a firearm but they need to understand its for a greater good to ban assault rifles when data proves in mass shootings handguns are are used in a vastly greater percentage than any rifle.
  5. Very true as the shooter posted a manifesto, he wanted fame and to spread his agenda.
  6. What are your thoughts on the past where you could order a semi auto rifle via the mail by sending a check to sears, etc and get your gun in the mail with no restrictions. In such a time there was less mass shootings versus now where there are many more restrictions on weapons and there is more mass shootings. I think that right there indicates it’s not so much a gun problem but a people problem first. How you tackle that is the million dollar question, but taking away due process with red flag laws is a slippery slope as the government has already banned bump stocks, enacted red flag laws, and has been infringing peoples rights with a $200 NFA tax stamp for decades to get an item that takes a year to receive when you can buy a gun in 5 minutes.
  7. Tried to log in today and the link does not work. Tried to log out and back in as the help section suggests without success.
  8. Whats the deal here? No single resource can handle it, therefore a couple guys with the knowledge forms a company that says they will round up resources from many companies to do the work, and bids the job. Why the mystery about two guys? They are the construction manager handling sub contractors...They will skim and pocket. And if they are part of a union thats where all the workers will come from. Also they were the only company willing to start work now before payment. On top of that they were hired directly by the PR power authority not trump or FEMA. These guys are taking a huge risk on getting full payment. This happens every time there is a hurricane in the US right? One single power entity is in control, and subs out to many other contractors. I have seen images of football fields of many different power companies in a staging area ready to be deployed to the field once the wind has settled. Anyone have proof this is a conspiracy or should we put the tin foil hats away?
  9. And you would wake up in jail I would imagine, and a large civil suit to boot
  10. http://cdn.factcheck.org/UploadedFiles/ICE.jpg Fire aside they have been trying to get this guy and did submit warrants.
  11. It’s not just trump trying to divide you it’s the two party system equally 50/50 at fault.
  12. The la times report showed Gonzales admitted to setting the fire because he was cold. Check other sources but it’s out there from sites non brightbart(sp?) that he admitted to it.
  13. Totally agree with the comment about him lying about saying it, but it seems it was as I suspected. He said “he knew what he signed up for..., but when it happens it still hurts. I wouldn’t have taken that the wrong way, I can see how it could by someone with a different point of view. Still does not fix the lying part though.
  14. Maybe trump should have called GWB instead and listened to this speach. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/george-w-bush-comes-out-of-retirement-to-deliver-a-veiled-rebuke-of-trump/2017/10/19/3b7881ea-b4ec-11e7-be94-fabb0f1e9ffb_story.html?utm_term=.7b2ed19f307f
  15. Does ICE have some special legal abilities that supersedes that which normally applies to legal citizens?
  16. Despite the sources this is what troubles me. He said she said, is he guilty is not what I am really talking about. The statement from ICE officials that Is what is troubling. The federal government wants this guy, but an American city is getting in the way, and not cooperating, even going as far as letting the guy out of jail without informing them on multiple occasions. How can this be? No sure if this is a trusted source, let me know, but in this article they say that the suspect admitted to starting the fire because he was cold. http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-fires-20171017-story.html
  17. Ooh I am not familiar with many news sources from over there, just saw it pop up and Bill had just mentioned it. So is it not true, is an illegal not a suspect, and did the government not say that they have deported him twice successfully, but now the California government that is set up is protecting him from the Federal government now? Or is it all a lie?
  18. Agreed, maybe "his false sense of patriotism for his own self image" would have been a better term. And yes that's why I asked was I have not heard about any of this until you brought it up, and was wondering about the context of the conversation. I am completely dismissing the did he say it, or not issue and going for he straight said it, not how was it meant. This issue of him lying, well we all know he lies.
  19. Really, whats the deal with that?
  20. http://www.breitbart.com/california/2017/10/19/wine-country-ice-director-illegal-alien-charged-with-felony-sonoma-fire-twice-returned-to-mexico-sanctuary-state/ Updated your story..... Glad America finally got some real news about why there is a need for deportation and not sanctuary cities. Seems like these kinds of people do not belong in your country if they do not respect the chance to be there and make a life for themselves.
  21. If he said it or not, whats the context? There are two ways it can go. Example 1: "Johnny died in the war, ooh well he knew what he signed up for too bad" Example 2: "Johnny died in the war, he knew what he signed up for and the price could be death to defend his country, what a hero" Without the context, and knowing trumps patriotism I bet it was more like example 2 has i have heard that exact statement before from others when someone was PRAISING a fallen warrior. That they knew the cost when they signed on the line, and was happy to die for other Americans. Just my thoughts on it.
  22. Right but didn't the US courts already agree that reasonable suspicion for a police contact based on a person being in a criminal area and for the lack of other words "looking the part" was legal? And that allows police to make a legal contact with someone, and in doing so can do a brief search for obvious weapons? If I'm not wrong on that then isn't profiling basically legal as long as it can be explained in court as to why x,y,z lined up?
  23. You guys make fun, and none of you who are social justice warriors will admit it, but you can actually pretty accurately judge someone based on things like their appearance, location, actions, and history of the location and crime. For instance stopping cyclists out after midnight on bicycles wearing dark clothing(hoodies with long sleeves in the 90 degree summer) carrying a backpack when you have been having a rash of thefts usually leads to results. Its not racism or whatever you like to call it, if historically it is accurate despite your lefts attempt to cause white guilt on the american public. I am not saying pull down on anyone or violate anyone's rights, but increased attention and proper use of policy on the above is just doing their jobs.
  24. Agreed, so take out the political part and insert "well known American icon, etc". I guess what I am getting back around to and it is not just my opinion, many in the media are speaking about it is the lack of outrage from the left side media when it happens to one of their own. They shy away from the story, but continue to report on any republican indiscretion. I guess I still remember the days when media simply turned on the cameras stated facts without leading opinions or motives other than good ratings, integrity, and trust of their viewers.
  25. Understood, don't take my word for it. This is what I am referring to. http://www.dailywire.com/news/21884/should-us-adopt-australias-gun-laws-heres-why-james-barrett http://www.smh.com.au/comment/why-assault-rifle-bans-wont-work-in-the-us-20151214-glnk2l.html https://mic.com/articles/146380/why-australia-s-gun-ban-wouldn-t-work-in-the-us-according-to-australians#.yR5QGhozN
