  4. Hey guys. I wanted to say thanks again everyone for coming out to Tally. At the rate you guys are all improving, I'm never gona win one of these things. Nice job everyone. I'm working on the website to update it and put up the score sheets from both round 1 and 2, but for now here are the current standings with the total points accumulated over two rounds for everyone going for the overall. This image shows total series points after two rounds and placing. See you all at Z-Hills next month. By the way we will be implementing the five second penalty rule for knocking a noodle over in the speed round. This a quote from directly from IPC the rule is very clear and you are correct. See 2.7 in 2004 Comp rules- the penalty applies if marker becomes non functional or has to be repaired. These rules will be used in Lake Wales.
  5. I'm sorry. My mistake. The comp is on June 19. Thanks

  7. Get inspired, make the commitment, set your goals, work very very hard and go compete! You will not be disapointed. You may even, if your lucky, find things out about yourself that you never even thought were possible. It's a fantastic journey and a great way to build skill and character. Good Luck Chris Hayes

  10. Here are some pictures from Sunday. I will post some of the ones from Saturday soon.
  11. Sweet. 25 people showed up and by the end of the day we built a sucessfull (everyone docked) 12 way and a sucessful 9 way with different people on each dive. I had a blast. We will do it again soon. Thanks to everyone who came out. It was great to see you all.
  12. Everyone should try to be here at 8. We will see how many we have and start with 6,8 and 12 way dives eventually moving up to 16 and 20 if we can keep them safe. If there are people who are interested in staying for Sunday too and the weather cooperates we'll JUST KEEP JUMPIN! Slots in DeLand are $18.
  13. Ok let's go. Saturday April 3. Big way head down formation dives. The goal for the day will be 20 ways from the Skyvan. Jimmy T, Chris Hayes and Rickster Powell doing video and digital stills. The cost is your slot. For more info email me at [email protected]
  14. In reference to the photo you posted. Those are E lines and is not an accurate representation of what slack in control lines should look like. These are experimental lines that are not on production line sets.
  15. It was a absolute pleasure. Thank you for showing up and swooping. Keep your ears open. I will put the dates out for next one as soon as I know. Probably May.
  16. The zone accuracy course will be into the wind for everyone. The intermediate distance will be into the wind and the advanced will be determined the day of the event. I know we would all like to see some 400ft + swoops. The scoring is set in the distance rounds so that intermediate compete against intermediate and advanced compete against advanced. In other words the maximum points in the distance rounds is 100 points for the longest swoop of the round in each class. The longest swoop in intermediate will get 100. The longest swoop in advanced will get 100 points for the same round to go towards your overall score. This is part of the handicap. If you are in intermediate and swoop 150ft, but it is the longest in your class, you will score the same points as the longest (400ft) swoop in the advanced class. 100 pts.
  17. 5' foot gates for advanced and 10 foot gates for intermediate for the distance rounds. Intermediate guys will have to get the gates to start their distance round as well as the advanced class. We gotta start messurin somewhere.
  18. Advanced competitors will have 5' gates and will need to go through the gates to score on the round. Intermediate competitors will have 10 foot gates, but will not need to go through the gates to score. However there is a 10 point bonus for intermediate competitors if they get the gate. There is always a chance here in DeLand to swoop with some of the worlds best and we are trying give the intermediate guys a handicap so they can compete against these guys and possibly take home some cash. There is also, of course, the safety issue. Hope to see you all here.
  19. Registration will close at 9:30am and the comp will start at around 10, the same as last time. You can register the day before if you get here early. We will be using IPC distances and zone dimensions this time for the zone accuracy. If you are training, train these distances. For the distance rounds, we will be using IPC rules as well.
