  1. spectre 150, out at 4000...pitch out the door, still sniveling at 3000, in the saddle with brakes in hand around 2500
  2. Otter - Outside Center on 4 way Caravan - Diving C-182 - I just roll on out King Air - umm...do I have to go out THAT door? C-130 - Tailgate double backflip with a half twist BSBD Mike
  3. Just watch out for the rubber glove exam...those things are a little much for just flying with a carry on.. BSBD Mike
  4. 0:0 When will the rain stop?!?! obviously the gods are out to get me...two weekends in a row with lots and lots of rain, and of course, monday morning the sun is out and not a cloud to be found.
  5. Derek, Thank you for everything that you have taught and will continue to teach me. It is wierd seeing you finally hang it up for good. I still want to hit that riggers ticket in the spring. Blue Ones. Mike "Never thought I could take that first step."
  6. A group of us went to see duey yesterday, but weren't allowed in. We met his mother and his brother, and they are hopeful as are the rest of us. I pray for him everyday and I know that he will find a way through this trying time. Duey was a great instructor, coach, friend, and skydiver, and his relaxed attitude and camelion personality, he can adapt as well as anyone, will get him through this. He will be back in the sky with us soon. Drive on Brother. Blue Skies, Mike
  7. I am currently on a spectre 150 and looking to maybe change canopies soon. Not really looking to downsize, but looking to try a different kind of canopy. I just don't understand what the difference is with the elliptical-ness of the canopy? Will I get more lift on landing from a semi or full elliptical than I get out of my spectre? I hear people talk about elliptical or semi elliptical all the time, but I don't know what it means. Anyone able to shed some light on a rookie thought? Thanks. Blue Ones, mike
  8. To piggyback on skycat...if you need anything at all. I will do what I can. Duey was always willing to do anything for us. If you need anything, give me a shout. Blue Skies, Mike
  9. I have 46 jumps, and I just recently downsized to a Spectre 170. I have nine jumps on it, and I am still not comfortable with the speed and maneuverability coming in. The 190 to 170 change was huge for me because it broke the 1:1 wingloading threshhold for me. My advice is jump a 170 first and see how it handles before going lower. Hope this helps or something. Blue Skies mike
  10. I have to say up to now...I love the super otter, shyshark at perris valley was alot of fun. Blue Skies
