  1. All of the DZs I've been to in Florida are nice. I live in Sebastian from November to mid-May and LOVE IT! Its a great dropzone to call home! They have a great laid-back vibe, great staff, beautiful view, well-maintained turbine aircraft, fun events, freefliers, belly fliers, wingsuiters, CRW. If you end up at Sebastian, come jump with me next fall! -JaNette www.rhythmskydiving.com
  2. you mentioned going on a Tuesday. SDC has special "Tandem Tuesday" rates: http://www.skydivechicago.com/Services/FirstTimeJumpers/tabid/107/Default.aspx www.rhythmskydiving.com
  3. All great rigs. I've owned three Infinities and I can't say enough great things about the Infinity. -Elegant & Solid Design - I haven't heard of any complaints or service bulletins -Excellent Craftsmanship -Wears well - I have two currently, one with over 500 jumps and one with
  4. Hmm... I'm still on Excel 2002 and it works for me. Asking the team expert (Laurent). yeah -- we did time some of the pros and put block/random times in the "Sorting" part, but don't do much benchmarking against it. Thats a good idea. Thanks -- we had a lot of fun. Good luck with your plans next year! www.rhythmskydiving.com
  5. Lots of teams track their performance on dives throughout the training season, and probably use a range of tools. Last year, my team developed a tool in excel that we think is pretty cool and would like to share with any other teams that are interested. If you find it useful for your team, great. We just ask that if you have any suggestions on how to make it better or find any bugs, let us know. It allows you to time the dives directly in the tool and then automatically tracks a number of statistics, averages and best times for exits, blocks, random builds. It has a number of graphs and charts and also will 'predict' a score on a dive based on your most recent averages for those blocks/randoms/exits. You can download it from here. http://www.cscrhythm.com/tool.html We've also got a copy there with some data in it, so you can see what it looks like with data. www.rhythmskydiving.com
  6. Whenever I travel with weights I either: Carry on: remove the weights ahead of time from my luggage and put them through the scanner separately. They'll always take a look at them, and often swipe them. Once in Phoenix I had trouble where they wouldn't let me take them on and said I'd need to check them -- went through another security line with no problems -- otherwise, I've probably flown 20-25 times now with them with no problems. Check: Put them in the luggage right on top, so they find them easily when the open the bag. Like the poster previously, they ALWAYS look, and I've never had trouble losing, but I try and make it as easy as possible for them to find it. www.rhythmskydiving.com

  8. Glad to hear you had a great time. My husband and I love jumping at CSC too for its friendly, safe, skydiver-focused atmosphere and staff. Eric and Nathan did my sister's tandem jump last year and it was also just perfect. www.rhythmskydiving.com

  11. Hi, I'm looking for Chromy's phone number. Can someone PM me? thanks, JaNette www.rhythmskydiving.com
  12. I did one almost two years ago. What I learned in the first day was enough to make the entire camp worth it to me. The coaches were great -- they are truly skilled not just at skydiving but at coaching both in and out of the tunnel. The structure -- mixing the tunnel with jumps -- was also really helpful. I'd totally reccomend these camps. The Airspeed camps are equally awesome. www.rhythmskydiving.com
  13. Does anyone know if there are dates yet for the Shamrock Showdown in March at Deland? www.rhythmskydiving.com
  14. I used a boeri snowboarding helmet before I got a fullface. Now my husband wears it. I would reccomend it -- it was cheaper and has better protection than most skydiving helmets. The only things I didnt like about it... It was pretty warm on hot summer days (but many helmets are) It makes your head look big compared to other helmets without much protection (but if you're going to wear a helmet, might as well go for function not fashion...) www.rhythmskydiving.com
