1 pointJust got done touring the North Carolina, it was absolutely amazing. 16 inch gun turrets the size of a house, steam turbines, giant reduction gears, powder and shell magazines, bridge, communications, navigation, mess galley, bakery, post office, apothecary, laboratory, dental office, surgical suite, machine shop, fire direction control center, on and on and on. I left there in awe of 1930/40s technology. I would recommend it to anyone.

1 pointI met Gary in '94 at the WFFC when he came on as lead LO. As an organisizer of LO's he made many improvements to the process. We also shared an interest in homemade digital logging altimeters and he made many helpful suggestions. Of all the places/folks I have ever worked at/for/with, Tent #1 in Quincy under Gary Peek's leadership is at the very top of the list of favorite endeavors. Best days on Earth! IMneverHO Blue Skies my friend

1 pointThe BOD was elected to represent its members and their interests. They agreed to use members funds to get this project to completion. A full year after the 1st funds and nearly a half a decade since it was started, there isn't so much as an agreed upon building site. If it wasn't so pathetic, it wude be laughable.......

1 pointLotsa members support getting the museum done. A place where the history of our sport can be preserved. After almost half a Decade..... NOTHING Apparently the entire board doesn't feel the members funds deserve any oversight of how they are being used. They clearly don't care about this project EVER getting completed and so far NOBODY has taken the responsible position of overseeing anything with this. To ANY BOD member that has a different view and can offer up some REAL insight into when this will be completed, is welcome to pipe in. This shude be interesting......

1 pointIt should. It's our money their spending on this project that has - thus far - achieved nothing. -JD-

1 pointHey, once Trump buys Greenland he will build a big refrigeration unit there and re-freeze the icemelt, thus reversing climate change at a stroke.
