Spectre Question

Recommended Posts

Just looking to see if anyone out there jumps a highly loaded spectre (about 1.5:1). Curious as to the stablility and how it works on birdman jumps. I need to downsize, so im looking for a canopy that will work well with camera and birdman jumps as well as having a little bit of performance! J-Rock

I use to jump a Hornet with dacron lines and ive heard since the they are stretchy they are a little more forgiving on the first initial "snatch" when your canopy deploys. I noticed my Hornet opened alot softer than other ones i jumped with Specta. Ive seen some camera flyers do this cause it seems to help if you have alot of equipment on your head. Oh and thanks for your help guys. J-Rock

Gasson jumps a small Spectre with Dacron lines because they open softer. With the load I like to carry on my head, that seems like a good idea. I have no interest at all in hard core swooping, so I don't mind that they slow the canopy down.

That explains why the Spectre Tony Hathaway is/was selling in the classifieds has dacron lines...I never put 2 and 2 together. Thanks guys.
