blair700 0 #1 July 22, 2003 This weekend I had the pleasure of doing a high speed exit from a CASA while wearing my GTI. I was wondering if any other folks have had much success with this. My goal of course, was to go out poised and try and fly up the prop-blast. I managed to stay relative to the wind, but got rocked around pretty good, I also blew both arm zippers from the wrist about 4 inches up the arm. From the video, and my recollection, I think I was too stiff, not nearly relaxed enough. I think given enough opportunity it could be done very smoothly, what do y'all think?? Thanks Blair O and the top of the CASA did look kewl though
ManBird 0 #2 July 22, 2003 Definitely. A somewhat deep d-arch with a head-high attitude from the dead center of the door should do it. If you are too off center, you will get bounced back and forth from one prop blast to the other. And yes, relax. ;)"¯"`-._.-¯) ManBird (¯-._.-´"¯" Click
outrager 6 #3 July 22, 2003 Yo ! On 200mph CASA exit you can climb anywhere around 50..100ft above the plane. You have to exit in a maxed out position and just ride the air. I loved these exits at CSS a while ago. bsbd! Yuri.

ManBird 0 #5 July 24, 2003 Fun. Leave with your wings open, man. You won't hit anything, I promise. Unless something is flying around about 100 feet above the plane. ;)"¯"`-._.-¯) ManBird (¯-._.-´"¯" Click
SkymonkeyONE 3 #6 July 24, 2003 Agreed. Make sure you stay canted slightly toward the airplane, not standing straight up, to get that upward glide.
