DBCOOPER 1 #1 November 21, 2003 Been on a couple of trains and have been able to get head down a couple of times now I'm going to get this sit fly thing down. My plan is to try some solos with advice on body position from freeflyer friends and then get some serious coaching. My question is how much "additional" separation should I give the group/person ahead of me and ask the ones behind me for? I'm sure I'll be all over the sky.Replying to: Re: Stall On Jump Run Emergency Procedure? by billvon If the plane is unrecoverable then exiting is a very very good idea. andy2 0 #2 November 21, 2003 when I first started I would track perpinducular from jump run for the first 10 seconds. Nice way to keep working on tracking skills, at least in my newbie opinion. I was still very careful about giving proper amount of time in the door though. --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm... CanuckInUSA 0 #4 November 21, 2003 Align yourself perpendicular to the flight line and don't spend more than 5-8 seconds head down (learning to sit first goes without saying). Good luck and welcome to the fun side. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
DBCOOPER 1 #5 November 21, 2003 Tracking off of the windline is a great suggestion. This will be for sit flying, not head down.Replying to: Re: Stall On Jump Run Emergency Procedure? by billvon If the plane is unrecoverable then exiting is a very very good idea. DaMan 0 #6 November 21, 2003 In all Freeflying positions you still can cover a bunch of ground . I'd get a coach jump every so often to be sure you're not picking up any bad habits - it's easier to learn right the first time than break a bad habit! Good luck!Z-Flock 8 Discotec Rodriguez Too bad weapons grade stupidity doesn't lead to sterility.
