Need to buy a camera for freeflying?

I have heard the Sony (which one) is pretty good.

But does it have that pesky "3-chip" problem?;)

Flea...Sony cameras are the norm for freefall video. Stay away from hard drive or dvd cameras...you want one that is mini-dv or, if you have the cash, hdv. B&H has some of the most recent models, or you can just use the search option here to get an idea of popular models, then find them cheap on eBay!
Hope that helps...

Yes, if you are going to freefly, you must have a camera. USPA made that a BSR back in 98 or 99, IIRC.

Oh, so -that's- the problem! :) I hung up my camera to go do some freeflying...Having some problem sticking the head-down.... :P I should put the camera -back- on and I'd be stylin'!;)

Thanks for the tip, flea! :)

The new Sony models HC26/36 don't have the LANC port for the cameye, just the HC96 whic as a fair bit more expensive.

Try to find one of last years models HC32/42.
