jtval 0 #1 April 28, 2004 Hey everyone, I did a search and couldnt find any thing useful. got a ques. about adobe 6.0 I have been messing with it but I cant get any transitions (dissolve etc) to work. I found the different options but I cant bring them to the timeline...anyone know how to make the "dissolve" apply to a specific clip? I cant seem to find the option to render my project either.( Im sure I am just not looking in the right spot)My photos My Videos
psw097 0 #2 April 28, 2004 A/B editing or Single track? With A/B you need to drag it to the transition line in the timeline display. Single trackyou have to drag it to the cut point between 2 tracks on the same video line. Render is under the menubar - Timeline - Render work area. docjohn 0 #5 April 30, 2004 What do you mean by 'the transitions won't work'? Are you seeing a red X iin the upper left corner of the monitor during the transistion? If so, you need to render first. Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video
docjohn 0 #6 April 30, 2004 Use TIMELINE/RENDER WORK AREA. The work area is the yellow bar at the top of the timeline. Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video
jtval 0 #7 May 3, 2004 I need to render it before it will show up in the time line? I mean it makes sense that I wont see the actual Transition but is there some way to tell its in there at all before I render it?My photos My Videos
docjohn 0 #8 May 3, 2004 No, you don't have to render for the transition to show up on the timeline. To get the transistion to the timeline, just drag it there. You will have to render the transition in order to see the dissolve effect when you play the timeline. Can you even get the transistion to show up on the timeline? See attached jpeg. Note the red bar at the top indicating the need to render that portion of the timeline. Doc http://www.manifestmaster.com/video

The interface for pro is different then 6.x and IMHO much better once you get used to it.
