I can't get the fire smell out...

I also had good luck with AllState-- I have separate sub-policies covering my cameras and all of my skydiving equipment up to something like $25,000 for the gear, and $10,000 for the cameras-- $5,000 each item for both sub-policies. Maybe don't call it a business policy, but a recreational one? I am an AFF Instructor and officially a "professional" but I also am a recreational skydiver too-- can't you say something like that for renter's ins to cover it?

Hey Mel,
I tried that. I explained that I mostly use my stuff for recreation and only occasionally do a tandem video or coach jump. They said that if I use it at all to make money, renters won't cover it and I'd need a business policy. No matter how little money I make with it... They said if I tried to cover it under renters, and something happened, and the insurance inspector found out I had used it to make money, than I wouldn't get a dime. I'll try Allstate... but with as much as Ed and I do work jumps, we need to find a business policy that will cover it...
