dgskydive 0 #1 April 7, 2005 Am I the only one in this forum that saw the video of Ian getting his arm broken? If you didn't see it go check out NSL news. WOW!!!!!! http://skyleague.com/pages/news/showArticles.php?story=68Dom
matthewcline 0 #2 April 8, 2005 I saw it and I still cringe over it, MattAn Instructors first concern is student safety. So, start being safe, first!!!
Albatross 0 #3 April 8, 2005 Dom it doesn't look that bad. But then Ian grabs his arm. Kind of reminds me of our Tunnel session.Chris
skykittykat 0 #4 April 8, 2005 OUCH!!!!! I've seen broken noses, split lips and black eyes, but breaking an arm.... How horrid. It puts into perspective my whack in the centre of my forehead during a block the other day. I was following advice about proximity - unfortunately, I took that advice too literally. Why did I fly directly into someone's knee head first???? Liz
vibeke 0 #5 April 8, 2005 Yup saw it. The videophotograper John B. Petersen is a close friend of mine. He was filming them on his day off. Too bad they only got to do 2 jumps... ouch!
rehmwa 2 #6 April 8, 2005 Saw it, glad they dealt with it well. So there is 'power' in that mix of "precision, speed, power" I guess. Hope Ian heals quickly. Hate to see Fire lose any steam from missing some training. We're thinking of messing around with the sheared 8, anyone done that lately? I see a step forward, and a bit left, with the cat while the OC hops and sticks. then the hip kick for both the tail and IC to finish, then a little extra cat rotation to finish since it's a straight instead of square build. No broken arms allowed. Dom - You read on Skyleague where Kurt noted JJ and a project called "Black Majik"? Wonder who that would be? ... dgskydive 0 #7 April 8, 2005 If the rumors are ture and at this point that is all it is. BUT.......... Joey and Joao Tambor(SP) and two others (don't know names) are going to be competing as Black Majik. Doing 4 way on there backs!!! If have seen Joey od this in the PErris tunel and he doesn't miss a beat. So we may all be in trouble. I don't see them doing 20's but they may kick a lot of ass.Dom
