British 8-way Nationals - Good Luck!

Recommended Posts

Thanks Steph! It was an excellent weekend. :)
Results as follows:

Senior

Gold - VNE
Silver - Om
Bronze - Box of Frogs

Intermediate

Gold - International Space Kettle
Silver - Sounds Grrr8
Bronze - Vision

The intermediate competition was incredibly close with a jump off between International Space Kettle and Sounds Grrr8 for 1st place and between Vision and Tequila for 3rd. At the end of the 5 rounds there was only one point separating the top 4 teams! :)
In the end ISK pulled out a great jump to beat us (Sounds Grrr8) by one point and after 3 nail biting jump offs, Vision pipped Tequila to the bronze medal by a point.

What a meet! ;)

They should be up on the BPA site in a day or two - I will post the link when they are put up. :)
From memory the intermediate draw (reduced dive pool and only 5 rounds) was:

Round 1 - 1, F
Round 2 - 4, P
Round 3 - 18, G
Round 4 - J, 6
Round 5 - M, 14
1st jump off - 21, B

Edited - for clarity!

That's interesting. I competed intermediate last year at the US nationals and we used a reduced dive pool (no slot switchers, etc) but it was a first four/first five draw. I'm doing open this year so learning all the new stuff I didn't learn last year (I sometimes think my head is going to explode) [:/]

nah...

You guys were looking schweet this weekend.

It was great being on the same training load as the Paracetes ;)

Nationals is going to be a whole lot of fun with all the Rford bunch there. We have thrown the idea of doing 8 way after 4way is done out there...so we may be in need of some help :)

What's the reduced dive pool for intermediates in the US? Or where can I find out? I've had a look at USPA and Omniskore but can't seem to see it. Also, what's the requirements to enter intermediates (max jump numbers etc.)?

Thanks for your help.

3. 8-Way Intermediate:
a. Representations of the numbered block
sequences (except blocks 9, 11, 12, 15, 20,
and 22) and lettered random formations
from the current dive pool are singularly
placed in one container.

Fom the USPA Competition Manual (pg 54) the rest of your answers are probably in there as well.

I'm too dumb to make it "clicky"
