Someone at our DZ this weekend went from jumping a 170 Katana (30 jumps) to a 135 Stiletto...they have 274 jumps and weigh 190 w/o gear.

Of course downsizing two sizes at 274 jumps is not the smartest thing to be doing. But we do not know how this person is flying their canopy. I weigh 190-195 lbs w/o gear and at least when I was current I was jumping an 87. So a 135 isn't as radical. Don't get me wrong, I am in no way supporting this person, but we need to know how they fly their canopy before we can truly know what is what.

BTW @ 274 jumps I was under a Sabre2 170 and learning how to do 180 degree high performance swoops (not really dedicating too many jumps towards canopy control at that time).
