iambeav2 0 #1 August 24, 2008 Someone at our DZ this weekend went from jumping a 170 Katana (30 jumps) to a 135 Stiletto...they have 274 jumps and weigh 190 w/o gear. Proceed......it's not the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until it's gone...it's the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until someone appreciates it for you! BMFin 0 #2 August 24, 2008 I think you should tell them that the stiletto is an old design and only the old RW guys jump those these days.

CanuckInUSA 0 #7 August 24, 2008 Of course downsizing two sizes at 274 jumps is not the smartest thing to be doing. But we do not know how this person is flying their canopy. I weigh 190-195 lbs w/o gear and at least when I was current I was jumping an 87. So a 135 isn't as radical. Don't get me wrong, I am in no way supporting this person, but we need to know how they fly their canopy before we can truly know what is what. BTW @ 274 jumps I was under a Sabre2 170 and learning how to do 180 degree high performance swoops (not really dedicating too many jumps towards canopy control at that time). Try not to worry about the things you have no control over
