Hooknswoop 19 #2 February 18, 2002 No- contact hand signals, side sliding, fall rate control, pull sequence (tap altimeter, pull signal, 2 attempts to get evaulator to pull, tap/pull dummy handle), stopping a spinning evaulator, and combinations of these.Hook
riggerrob 558 #3 February 18, 2002 Start with simple drills, then move to progressively more complex drills and problems. Try starting with "student is stable, but staring blindly off into space when he should be doing a circle of awareness."Leave complex problems like "student spins wildly on his back as he smokes through 3,000' " until near the end of your tunnel training sessions.Dirt dive a specific problem with your evaluator (ie. correcting leg position), then dive it in the tunnel. De-brief. Repeat the process until it is second nature.Brief the next problem (ie. correcting legs in and arms too far forward) and repeat the process.Hint, wear a clock altimeter on later tunnel practice dives. TEB6363 0 #4 February 19, 2002 I did see a couple of guys with a bunch of tunnel time do well in the AFFCC. I think most of the time was spent on their RW skills. The AFF jumps will be moving around a lot and that is hard to practice in the tunnel. The bottom end sequence for both Level III and IV are very good practice. Then just reaction time and no-contact RW should get you up to speed.:::OK, Canopy is Open, No Traffic Around, .. Why are these "Extra" Lines Draping Down??, Damn!
