I was looking through old files (for another post), and thought that these were fun. It appears to be Bill Booth doing the tandems, it is a Vector 2 rig. Interesting that Bill didn't need to wear any eye protection.

Anyway, for what it's worth...

That makes sense. Also makes sense that I haven't seen them, since I don't have a Vector tandem rating.

Maybe his beard ate his goggles? Or maybe like me, he has forgotten his goggles on a couple of tandem jumps (but his student had theirs).

These were drawings from photograghs. Sandy Williams did the drawing and I would guess that Norm Kent did the photograghs. Connie Simpson was the passinger. I think the manual was done this way because the drawings reproduced better than phopograghs.

Most of the things worth doing in the world had been declared impossilbe before they were done.

I suspect that they started with ground photos and Bill may have forgotten his goggles for ground photos.

Also remember that Vector One Tandems were first made without drogues ... and taking them to terminal resulted in hard openings ... so maybe Bill was only doing hop-and-pops and did not need goggles.
