MissBuffDiver 0 #1 June 15, 2005 O.K. now that I've taken my medicine can we start again? The same kids lunch says a man age 92 made a solo jump. Where and when? Anybody know?....Sandy Sandy
davidlayne 5 #2 June 15, 2005 Retired pilot, Herb Tanner, is the oldest man ever to have performed a solo skydive. The Ohio-born American was a staggering 92 years old when he jumped from a single-engined plane above Cleveland on June 19 1998.I don't care how many skydives you've got, until you stepped into complete darkness at 800' wearing 95 lbs of equipment and 42 lbs of parachute, son you are still a leg! I was there....I saw it. :o) bozo Pain is fleeting. Glory lasts forever. Chicks dig scars.
chronistin 0 #4 June 15, 2005 There was a 96 year old guy this february who made a solo-jump. dislocated his shoulder, and they were debating if it still counts as oldest jump... still got the link (in seattlepi.com), but the article has expired.
