lupinelacuna 0 #1 April 20, 2011 Now the smoke has cleared of the fines last year, what is the consensus? Is it a safe place to jump? For those of you who don't jump there why? So many extremely experienced people must be putting their trust in something.
NWFlyer 2 #2 April 20, 2011 The current consensus is there is no consensus. Some people choose to jump there some people choose not to. pilot-one 0 #5 April 20, 2011 QuoteGreat place, great people, great weather, great freefliers, great CReW, great RW, great wingsuiters, ect., etc., etc........... I think he's talking about the plane and the maintenance of it or lack thereof. Personally I would not jump somewhere with the consistent history of lying about maintaining an aircraft. I don't care if they're doing it now or not. They've lost my trust forever. 'Nuf said.
pilot-one 0 #6 April 21, 2011 So I was PM'd by someone I highly respect questioning my statement. I need to make it clear that I have no problem flying in an aircraft that has been grounded for something and then properly repaired. My problem lies within the integrity of the ownership not the airplane itself. I very well could be wrong and I may be convinced otherwise. However based on the information available to me now this is my opinion and at this time is not a risk I am willing to assume.
jacketsdb23 45 #7 April 21, 2011 I love when I see Lodi in a thread title...but this thread is not very entertaining yet...come on people. Start the bickering. Sorry for my non-informative post. I should add that there are many highly skilled jumpers/riggers/instructors etc. there. I have also jumped there recently. I don't expect you will find the answers you are looking for here, it will be a hung jury. Go to the DZ, talk to Bill yourself and see if he addresses your concerns.Losers make excuses, Winners make it happen God is Good Beer is Great Swoopers are crazy. Last I heard Bill was granted an extension for a hearing.Apologies for the spelling (and grammar).... I got a B.S, not a B.A. :)
drewcarp 0 #11 April 26, 2011 So many extremely experienced people must be putting their trust in something. Never been there but lots of experienced people do lots of dumb shit, doesn't make it any safer. Then again, I bet they will maintain the planes really well from here on out.
