New School Flight Camp

What is the minimum experience level required to attend this ? Do you need to have ur own rig? Is an 'A license' enough?

I did email Steven but have not got a reply yet. If anyone knows the answers to this......please reply.

Do not know any other requirement other than the 3 grand you need just to go. What a joke! I would assume your own rig and it is for all levels of experience as long as you have your license I think.

$3000 is a lot for the class but the breakdown of it is not that bad when you look at it.

$600 for raw tunnel time + X for the coaching.
$70 * 20 for coach jumps
$60*5 for the included hotel
= $2300 for the raw cost not including their coaching cost in the tunnel.

You need to provide all your own freefly safe equipment.

Does not sound that bad when you break it down like that. Cool. Wish I had $3,000 I could just throw down on it because I know I could definitely benefit from it. Thanks for the info.

blincoe was at the tunnel last night and i believe i remember him saying that he had an early morning of coaching, so that may explain his delayed response. he's pretty good about getting back to folks.

Steve will tailor the course to your experience level. As long as you have your A license, you'll be fine. All the tunnel time and coach jumps will be one on one. Look in Parachutist for his ad, and there is a phone number listed there....it's his cell phone number. Call him on that. I'll be seeing him in the morning - I'll tell him to check his email...but like I said, he will tailor it to your experience and goals.

Thanks everyone for the responses. I have made just one jump (on oct 5th.....sprained an ankle...but put the time to good use(while rehabing the Ankle and practicing arching on a flat table) getting the USPA membership and as much knowledge about skydiving(break-away, basic canopy flight , fly like a pro, pack like a pro, SIM, Parachuting, the Skydivers hand book, DP amd MT) and the A requirements.) I will be jumping this weekend(Yes!!) and am joining the STP program(skydive spaceland). I hope to have my A license by mid Nov. Can you say Junkie?

I know it will be impossible for me to own a rig and pay for all this, even if I cut away on a few posessions.

Only way I can do this is if I can rent a rig at the Dz.

Hey, have you met Blincoe before? I got some tunnel coaching from him earlier this year, and the guy is an AWESOME coach. He actually teaches you to feel the air, and explains things in both the "zen" and "meat & potatoes" fashion, depending on what works for you. I strongly recommend getting coaching from him dude.
