Is there a "skydiving-bible"?

Recommended Posts

Hello guys!

I am very new to this sport and its scene, just have my first tandem right behind me. Was one of the greatest things I've ever experienced. So I am thinking about moving forward and to do an AFF.

This won't be possible before I finish my studies (money wise). So I've got plenty of time to get deeply into the topic and know as much about the sport and its originalities: I can't get enough information about skydiving, the gear, the risks, etc. pp.

So: Can anyone recommend a book which explains all the basics (jargon, physics behind it...) and gives a wholistic overview?

Thank you very much!

The Americans have got one that they are always banging on about ... called the SIM. Could be worth a read otherwise.. as VB said get thee to a Drop Zone and chat with folk.

Have fun
