imfromwales 0 #1 August 8, 2009 I will be taking a year or many out after i finish uni next summer and i would love to come to america to skydive! the only problem is money. I would love to stay for as long as possible, maybe camping or something, and work for a dropzone packing parachutes to earn the little money i will need to survive. Does anybody know of any such dropzones which may allow me to do this? Ive had a look and there are millions of dropzones in the US so it would be a bit tedious to go through them all and email them. Any past experience with landing at a dropzone and working for a while? Thanks, Imformwales UK
Airgump 1 #2 August 8, 2009 skydive city in z-hills is an option. they have the most awesome DZ and always has tent city going on. you might drop Khan an email and see if he needs any packers working for him at nylon city (the home of the best compression engineers i've ever used.) you can contact him at [email protected] blues, gump
LouDiamond 1 #3 August 8, 2009 If you plan on coming to the USA and working legally, you would need a green card OR a work visa which would require you to be sponsored by the hiring company. Chances of you getting a work visa for skydiving , let alone a DZ to sponsor you has about a snowballs chance in hell frankly. DZ's/businesses employing someone without the proper documentation run the risk of loosing their business license for a minimum of 10 years if caught employing undocumented workers."It's just skydiving..additional drama is not required" Some people dream about flying, I live my dream SKYMONKEY PUBLISHING
imfromwales 0 #4 August 8, 2009 thanks for the info guys, il get in touch with him. Do you not just need a work visa for whatever and just pay the price for the visa, without telling them where you will be working? its your money your giving them. Also, if i will be working in the US, why would it matter where i work in order to get a working visa? Thanks, Imfromwales UK
