Well, I woke up Sunday morning With no way to hold my head that didn't hurt. And the beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad, So I had one more for dessert. you can't pay for kids schoolin' with love of skydiving! ~ Airtwardo

What about a 12Volt one that runs of the ciggie lighter? You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing? SkymonkeyONE 4 #54 December 16, 2012 QuoteAny air mattress pump suggestions? Something that doesn't require outside electricity... Was looking at the Ozark Trail Hand Pump. I have never, EVER had any luck with blow-up airbeds. I've found the taller they are the worse they are. They ALL leak down and collapse around you. I've even tried the electric air pump that automatically (supposedly) keeps the damn things inflated (they don't). I still own two of them, but I don't ever use them. A thermarest pad under my bag works best for me, plus it rolls up and stows in my bivvy roll. For those times when I want to truly "primitive camp", my setup is dependent on whether it's just me or i'm sharing a tent (with another person or my motorcycle) . I've got a two man tent and a six man tent. The larger one is big enough to park my harley inside with me. I"ve got a modular army sleeping bag, a Gortex bivvy cover for it, a thermarest pad, a blow-up pillow, and a heavy duty poly-e tarp. I also have a shit-load of bungee cords, 550 parachute cord, and tent stakes. I carry fire starting equipment, at least one headlamp (and extra batteries), 100% DEET bug juice (the only thing that truly works), and my fucking pistol (at a minimum). If I trying to keep weight way down I'll leave the tent at home and just bring the tarp and the rest of the stuff. Either way, it's always clean, packed, and ready to go. I was looking at those self-inflatable pads, they are just pretty pricy so I've just been waiting it out till I find one I'm 100% on. I'd like it to pack real small but still be very comfortable to lay on.

What about a 12Volt one that runs of the ciggie lighter? I'm pretty sure the "automatic" electric pump I had was an Ozark. If it detected low air pressure it would kick on and maintain "optimal" pressure. Mine was battery opereated. Two problems with it: -it would kick on at odd hours and wake me up -the hose would come unplugged from the air bed and the entire thing would deflate around me pissing me off. sepstrup 0 #58 December 18, 2012 My DZ camp! My tent is smaller that my small car http://i.imgur.com/92fcV.jpg There is plenty of room to sleep 1 person. Its a popup tent, so putting it up is about 1 minut. I use a self-inflating sleeping mat and sleeping bag, works perfectly. I useally store my stuff in the boot of the car if I can park close by like here or at the DZ club house of possible. Otherwise it is possible to stuff both me and my gearbag in the tent
