vortexring 0 #52 June 29, 2008 WHAT!? Are you INSANE!!!????I'm sure even Christel would disagree with you there! It was a case of the better team winning by a country mile mate, or is that what you meant? 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
christelsabine 1 #53 June 29, 2008 That's always something what even fellow countrymen do not understand but, we do feel it!! Our team just falls apart! This somehow is German mentality. OK. It's over for now. BUT: WE'LL BE BAAACK ...Ask Arnie. And Dirk. dudeist skydiver # 3105

masterblaster72 0 #57 June 29, 2008 Quote I'm not a big football fan, but I think this was a definite case of the best team lost Spain hasn't been beaten in 22 matches now, and they outscored their opponents 12-3 in the tournament. They're also the only team that managed to maintain consistency and momentum from start to finish. Not to mention they were missing their top scorer, David Villa in this final. Give credit where credit is due, eh? Be humble, ask questions, listen, learn, follow the golden rule, talk when necessary, and know when to shut the fuck up. Botellines 0 #60 June 29, 2008 Thanks Christel! Now we will go back to lousy soccer play for another 44 years! I think that the best idea the coach had was to get rid of all the "primma donnas" for the competition. Most of the players were young people willing to give everything, there was only a couple of veterans. Anyway, too drunk to keep posting now. I already kicked Zep out of my country, so i will sleep for now and comment tomorrow if the thread is still on the first page. Cheers to all.

Especially given the fact that AFN was warning of "possible riots" due to the game, when I came on shift tonight at work...
