Maybe I missed it, but in most states the funds generated by plates like these go to a specific cause. Does anybody see one listed?

I take it that you are referring to the image of the World Trade towers with "9/11".

I didn't really take that to mean that the war on terror started on 09/11/01. It's just the foremost symbol available to represent what terrorists have done to us.
