Absolutely it's semantics

Recommended Posts

Maybe our right wing semanticists can give us a lesson on the meaning of "absolutely" when used like this:

"Nation building? Absolutely not", G.W. Bush, 2000
"Absolutely we're winning in Iraq", G.W. Bush, Oct, 2006

("We're not winning", G.W. Bush, Dec 2006).

The Oakland Raiders have gone in many times this year at halftime knowing that they were winning. Typically, though, they are not by the end of the game.

Semantics? Yep.

So October 2006 was halftime?

Are you saying the Oakland Raiders will end up playing football with an Iraqi national team?

If only that were going to be true.

However, I have a feeling though that we're not even out of the first quarter yet.
