beowulf 1 #3 September 22, 2005 All gods including the christian "God" are man made. They were made to explain the unknown. Most people can not handle living with out having some way to explain the unknown. Whether it be what happens after death or where we came from they need to have some sort of explaination. God fulfills that need. Gods are man made. Religions were created by men to exploit peoples need to for a god or gods.
