Has anyone heard about her upcoming movie, "Birth"? There is an uproar about this flick which I believe is set to be released in November (I think). The premise is Kidman's husband is dead and is reincarnated in the body of a 10 year old boy. The actor, Cameron Bright, and Kidman will allegedly be shown kissing passionately and in one scene, sharing a bath together. Is this a first in cinema history? Is that even legal? Louis Malle's "Murmur of the heart" deals with a love relationship between a mother and her son (including sexual intercourse). I am sure there has been plenty others in that vein. The clearest evidence I've found is the same direct quote on several links: Quote New Line Cinema's Mark Ordesky insists there's nothing in the movie to cause alarm. He says, "There is no physical contact between Nicole and Cameron. They are not nude in the bathtub. The scene was shot over Nicole's shoulder..." That aside, I am pretty sure there are laws that protect minors from certain kinds of exposure. Film producers would be somewhat foolish to film their own 'crime' in Panoramic Technicolor. When Dominique Swain performed a scene in Lolita (1997) where she had to sit on Jeremy Iron's lap, they had to place pillows between the two of them to keep them from ever touching. Pillows were also used for a scene in The Girl Next Door (2003) where seventeen year old actor Emile Hirsch had to receive a lap dance from a stripper. If they're that careful about simple contact, I'm sure they're not going to risk serious jail time to put a grown woman and a young boy naked in a tub together. A good cinematographer could pull off the shot without them even being in the same tub. Now who's being gullible?I don't have an M.D. or a law degree. I mean, if his parents are present all the time, and the kid doesn´t oppose, and they don´t touch eachother what is the problem? I remember my parents used to take me to the beach when i was a little kid, and sometimes i would walk around naked. Not big deal. Easier to piss if you are not wearing any clothing...
