AggieDave 6 #26 October 21, 2002 Dude, not only do I did the BSD devil with the rig, but your sig kicks ass!--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
SkyDaemon 0 #27 October 22, 2002 Dave, My boyf, made the graphic, although I get to pipe up and steal some credit as I came up with the idea. :-) I'm currently working on some software that I'm trying to get committed to the FreeBSD project. We'll see if it happens. My day job is that of unix guru/egoist and in my copious spare time *cough* I skydive and BASE jump. What's your story?find / -name jumpers -print; cat jumpers $USER > manifest; cd /dev/airplane; more altitude; make jump; cd /pub; more beer;
Rookeskydiver 0 #28 October 22, 2002 awesome, what if the tandee had a tandem? PCSS # 1 Rookeskydiver "Its a Wonka Bar"....."Go ahead Charlie open it, lets see that golden ticket"
base311 0 #29 October 22, 2002 Yup, once you start - and in any relationship thereafter - you can say what I always said, "I was a BASE jumper when you met me, and I'll be a BASE jumper when you're gone." later, Gardner
skypuppy 1 #30 October 22, 2002 Ted Strong and Robin Heid jumped just after me at Bridge Day in 1984, but there was another tandem jump made at BD in 1988. There was also one made from a bridge in Australia but it wasn't a real tandem rig, just something cobbled together from some old harnesses. I know it can be done, but I think I'd rather just Base jump by myself...If some old guy can do it then obviously it can't be very extreme. Otherwise he'd already be dead.
