Not as good as I've seen some pictures you all post on here, but this is what the sunset looked like tonite from our dz. nebraska is not that pretty of a state, but we do get some spectacular colors as far as the eye can see.

we've got 2 other wind socks as well. I personally prefer to lick my finger and stick it to the wind though.

ah thanks for the input, that's the kind of info I need to get better shots. this was done with 1.3 megapixel digital camera thats not mine. I was lucky I could pointed it the right way.

You'll need a tripod because the shutter speed will be REALLY slow. I have gotten some really nice still pics by just leaving my Panasonic on "AUTO" mode and setting it on something steady. With the really slow shutter speed it's impossible to hold it still enough to get a decent pic. Definitely turn the flash off...ruins the colors.
