mnischalke 0 #7 July 7, 2003 This is how the selection process is supposed to work according to the WVA governor's website. QuoteThe Governor's Office will accept submissions until May 23, 2003. The Governor's office will screen and review all submissions received. A panel of artistically talented young West Virginians will serve as judges. They will choose a minimum of 25 designs. The panel will then select the top five winning designs. The five designs will be reviewed by graphic artists. The Governor will announce the five designs on West Virginia Day, June 20, 2003. The Governor will submit the top five designs to the U.S. Mint. The U.S. Mint will review and revise the designs to meet the appropriateness and coinable criteria. The Citizens Commemorative Coin Advisory Committee will review the designs. The U.S. Commission of Fine Arts will review the designs. The Secretary of the Treasury will review and approve the designs. The U.S. Mint will return the approved designs to the Governor for final selection of the West Virginia State Quarter. The Governor will return the final design to the U.S. Department of the Treasury for approval. I doubt voting will have anything to do with it unless the gov is looking at this site. It is, however, kickass to see how we can just take over a poll when we all put our collective minds to it. mike Girls only want boyfriends who have great skills--You know, like nunchuk skills, bow-hunting skills, computer-hacking skills.
