sundevil777 94 #1 October 21, 2003 For those that deny any connection. Fox News report from an Iraq newspaper: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,100743,00.html A weekly newspaper in Iraq has a detailed account of how Saddam Hussein's regime, two months before the 9/11 atrocities, had nearly 100 Al Qaeda (search) members come to Iraq and train for future operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. An unnamed Iraqi officer -- save for his initial, "L" -- tells the Al-Yawm Al-Aakher newspaper that he was among those ordered to help train the -- "dear guests." He says Saddam's -- "senior Fedayeen officers visited [the trainees] constantly and inspected them almost daily." Then, the source says, "On April 5, 2003, orders were issued to send these individuals to the battle front immediately."People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am
mikkey 0 #2 October 22, 2003 Interesting. This is the first and only source I have seen that claims this type of connections. There are a few well-documented sources (people involved in the intelligence community at a high level) that say the exact opposite and even the White House is not making these claims. Please note the following: 1) Source is a “weekly Iraqi newspaper”. We have no idea about this papers track record and its reputation for truth (could be some “trash” paper for what we know). 2) An unnamed Iraqi officer is the source…. (and the ONLY source). Now what kind of documentation/proof is this? 3) The claim is that 100 came for training in July 2001 and later it is claimed “On April 5, 2003, orders were issued to send these individuals to the battle front immediately”. So these guys stayed in this alleged camp for nearly 2 years?? These are very “thin” claims form one anonymous source in one unknown paper in Iraq. Why is this worthy of being shown prominently on Fox? Because it fits their agenda? What would happen if an unknown Middle East newspaper, based on one anonymous source, made some claims that the US was committing war crimes in Iraq. Would that be published on Fox? --------------------------------------------------------- When people look like ants - pull. When ants look like people - pray. billvon 2,406 #3 October 22, 2003 >For those that deny any connection. Like our president? Bush denies Saddam-9/11 link By Steve Holland September 18, 2003 WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President George W. Bush has distanced himself from comments by Vice President Dick Cheney that left the impression he saw a possible link between Saddam Hussein and the September 11, 2001 attacks. "We've had no evidence that Saddam Hussein was involved in September 11," Bush told reporters on Wednesday as he met members of Congress on energy legislation. -----------------------------------------------
AndyMan 7 #4 October 22, 2003 QuoteFor those that deny any connection This isn't the connection you were looking for. Al Queda also trained in Florida prior to 9/11. Does that mean there's a connection to Jeb? _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.
