ernokaikkonen 0 #6 October 27, 2003 I thought novice boards aren't supposed to have a cutaway system? Are we talking about the really small ones that you stand sideways on? If yes, I don't really see a need for a cutaway system as you can just go on your belly if you go unstable.

But i do.. what if the main canopy somhow mess up whith the boaed,it would then be nice to be abel to cut it away.... It also is a nice thing to be abel to run/walk as you land(ie drop the board just before landing) Stay safe Stefan Faber
ernokaikkonen 0 #8 October 27, 2003 >But i do.. what if the main canopy somhow mess up whith the boaed, >it would then be nice to be abel to cut it away.... Yes, that risk exists. But AFAIK that's the way it's done in most places; IE without a cut-away system(still talking about a novice board). Don't throw your PC between your legs... >It also is a nice thing to be abel to run/walk as you land(ie >drop the board just before landing) You don't need a cutaway system for that, you can just undo the bindings on the board under canopy. Faber 0 #9 October 27, 2003 Quote Don't throw your PC between your legs... ouch nope,i just stil see the benifit in using some kind of cut system, just in case might why i never tryed it.. Quoteyou can just undo the bindings on the board under canopy. Thanks i learned somthing todaywho as time under canopy anyway.. he he, i better pay my dz a visit and kick myself out of a plane soon..just to see if i really dare to fall that long time... Squeak 17 #10 October 27, 2003 the plan is to build a board with a set up to enable the bindings to be relocated from 90 degrees to the length to a more advanceds footing. This way I can progress without having 2 boards. If that makes seYou are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing? mouth 0 #11 October 27, 2003 When Bytch sends me my new one in about 2 weeks I'll have one you can have. The connector link has worn through about 1/8 of an inch and I am replacing it. How you use it or if you need it is up to you because I know NOTHING about the boards. -- Hot Mama At least you know where you stand even if it is in a pile of shit. hookitt 0 #14 October 27, 2003 Every novice Board I've jumped, has a cutaway system with a recovery system. You'd be very surpised how fast you can spin on a little board like that. Looks like a cutaway system is on this short board from Surf Flite.http://www.surfflite.com/shortboarddisplay.htmlMy grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry...
