akarunway 1 #1 November 14, 2003 Winter Training Facility The Ocean City Skydiving Center is a seasonal skydiving center, closing its doors in Maryland every fall. We continue training students at our Florida location, near Orlando. Students are trained in the SkyVenture vertical wind tunnel before continuing to jump. This wind tunnel is a state of the art, multi-million dollar facility and is widely known as the best training wind tunnel in the world. It simulates freefall by blowing a 120 mph column of wind upward allowing a person to fly or hover, simulating the freefall environment. Students who have trained in this facility have been cleared for solo skydiving in as little as four skydives, compared to the average of eight to ten skydives without wind tunnel training. Our facility in Florida also offers obvious advantages in weather, making it a more conducive environment for student training. Students progressing through this program will emerge as superior performers in the air, with greater skills than others with the same number of jumps. If you are interested in completing the entire student program, ask about our package deals and other ways to save money on your skydives. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Call Toll Free: 1-800-SKYDIVE (Maryland Residents) Ocean City Skydiving Center 12724 Airport Rd Berlin, Maryland 21811 email: [email protected] Telephone: 410-213-1319 Fax: 410-213-2001 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- home - about us - tandem - accelerated freefall - gallery - video your skydive - travel - links -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ©2003 Gravity Pilot ProductionsI hold it true, whate'er befall; I feel it, when I sorrow most; 'Tis better to have loved and lost Than never to have loved at all.
