beavdog 0 #3 January 5, 2004 ~500. Read the report in Incidents...it seems really strange, I had a soft opening and nothing strange until i popped the breaks. Canopy also had no patches or holes prior to this crater. Here's to the Breezes that blows through the Trezzez.....
Hooknswoop 19 #4 January 5, 2004 Quoteit seems really strange, I had a soft opening and nothing strange until i popped the breaks. Canopy also had no patches or holes prior to this crater. I've seen a new canopy come apart and the jumper said it was a soft opening. One toggle had been bent in half as it was pulled into the guide ring. It opened soft because only a small part of the canopy took the opening forces, which came apart, then the rest opened. Derek

sarge 0 #6 January 5, 2004 ... very strange indeed? Obviously nothing appeared suspicious in previous inspections? I would have been much less curious had it been a brake line... .-- I'm done with the personally meaningful and philosophical sigs!!
ltdiver 3 #7 January 5, 2004 What's PD's recommended wing loading for a Sabre-170? What is the maximum wing loading listed? PD's web site doesn't seem to have this information onboard anymore. ltdiver Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon
SkydivingNurse 0 #8 January 5, 2004 I'm not an expert, but I think I see the problem. I think you should always take the red headed children out of the canopy before jumping it. (image 2) Just my $0.

What were you thinking? Only blond or brunette children are safe packing in your canopy, silly boy! Fall in dove.
