Rocketman wears an Oxygn

Recommended Posts

This doesn't appear to have made the news outside of the UK, but "Rocket"/Jet pack stuntman, Eric Scott, broke the record today for the highest flight in a jet pack (there are lots of people going for this?), in Stoke Newingtion (??), London, for an alcholic drinks promotion. It's not entirely obvious in the web pictures, but I noticed on the TV reports that he was wearing an Oxygn whilst doing it.

He had a helmet with a full face mask.

Back in the 1970s, I went to the company that designed the rocket belt (in Michigan) and tried unsuccessfully to get them to allow me to train with the rocket pack, and use it at the Canadian International Air sShow at Toronto. We had some good meetings about it, but I just couldnt sway them.

Sure would like to have used it though. What a blast!!!!

We need to get a jet pack demo at the WFFC. I recommended this to some jet pack guy on the web years ago. No reply.
We are the jet pack's largest market. Plus it would be another cool form of flight to view. I'd pay to see it. Don Kirlin could make it happen. Somebody call Don.
